Problems with GTA III Patch 1.1

Hey, I have a little problem with patching my GTA III to 1.1. When I installed the patch I had to restart my computer which I did. Then I start LU, but it still comes the same message that I'll have to install the 1.1 patch. so, I tried to install the patch manually. I downloaded a crack 1.1 ENG and when I copy and paste it, it comes a message that I'll have to try again. It really doesn't work to replace the "GTA3.exe". Can somebody help me? I dont really understand how to remove the security from a file via Windows 7.

I had this sort of problem

I installed it legally, I hate searching for discs so I downloaded a no cd crack (legal) and then the patch would not install.

When I sought support on the Liberty United website SugarD basically told me to fuck off. Thats when I decided not to play it.
