There's a lot of juicy GTA V news and rumors nowadays, but what consequences will it have on Argonath as we know it today?

Since it's a San Andreas re-make, will that mean that most of the SA-MP community of Argonath will emigrate to V:MP or will it remain almost empty like Liberty City?
That's basically something we should face. GTA 5 will probably have a high-end PC requirement so probably half of our current community on SA:MP won't be able to join in any sooner time? Does that mean that GTA V will be another deserted icon sitting on our desktop?

Anyways, here are some of the rumors.

Players will be able to use drugs, but using it on the street will get them a 1 star wanted level.
Multiplayer will support 32 player slots on Xbox but not yet confirmed how much for PC.
It was said for it to be released in May (not reliable)
Players will be able to boost criminal economy by buying/selling drugs/cars/weapons from the underground.
Standard wanted levels, mostly like other GTA games.
The map is going to be a San Andreas re-make, just five times larger than Liberty City's map.
There are going to be 3 parts of the map, standard for every GTA game.

And so on, and so on... I advise you to watch Olli's videos on youtube for more updates.
None of these facts have been confirmed, but they seem to be reliable.
Thank you for your feedback in advance, feel free to post any rumors you know here.

Won't have any effect on Argonath.
Whenever OR if V-MP drops, I highly doubt an abundance of players will migrate over.
SA:MP will remain popular for years to come.

REPLICA.

GTA:IV missed a lot of chances, and with the GTA series selling their multiplayer to Microsoft, things do not look better. As for players changing, currently IV:MP is just starting to win some ground, which means that V:MP will first have to overcome things like the game requirements and prcatical differences between IV and V.

As for Argonath, I am sure that when the possibility rises we will expand to V.
In IV some features were introduced that were different from previous GTA games, and games released in between do not seem to have dropped this.
One of them is the freedom to end missions in several ways. If you have ever tried to make an alternative end to a mission you will know what I am talking about. Chasing a guy on a motorcycle you can blast him with a RPG but until he reaches the 'end point' he is invulnerable.

The choice of endings was a way to use several extra missions, but hardly a real choice.
GTA:V needs more freedom, less fixed spots and if it remakes SA a lot of GTA humour and references.

Well, considering some players have the urge for collecting material wealth, after RS5 happens, and if GTA V comes any soon after RS5, the community of Argonath will probably be at an edge, since, players will think ''Why start all over in San Andreas, when I can start over in a newly polished re-make better version of Andreas?''

I personally would play both, not equally, since I got more friends on SA:MP probably that won't change that much after GTA V:MP release.

There's an interesting fact that players in multiplayer will be able to have scripted organization territories, which will be a big boost for TDM and gangwar servers, but how will it affect an RP server such as Argonath if we expand to V:MP?

How about we think about this when the mod comes out? If GTA V is actually scheduled for MAY 2013 for consoles, you can expect the multiplayer mod to be fully functional in 2016. Heh.

Simply said :

V:MP will take at least a year or two to develop.
Its not how many people will move over, ofc. we'll all try to move over at first and later get bored and return to our servers.
The hype of V:MP will be too low, regarding my first point, seeing the game will be pretty old in market by then.
Its all about the native players, V:MP will have its own players, there're barely few players who play on all Argonath server.

Thats all to answer your question ;)

To first para , RS5 will most probably come within 2 months, Do not forget Release of LU server is very very near too, More than GTA V which'll release in 2013, and RS5 in few months, I see LU and SA:MP Clashing.

Regarding second para, Scripted organization territories, ok, Ever heard of Ballas and Groves? If you played San Andreas Single Player :p If anything scripted territories will only make RPG better.
