Hey,

Today I was playing Argonath (SAMP) when the game suddenly crashed and it came an error:
"Nvidia GPU is no longer connected to your screen" or something like that.
I restarted my computer and got a bluescreen saying I had to update different stuff and I did so.
I updated all there was to update on my windows and it still runs slow.
And as far as I know the Nvidia GPU is the screen program.. looks like it doesent work anymore?
Tried to play again and the game was super slow.

My computer is Laptop and I have Windows 7.

Unplug your monitor from your gfx card and put it in a normal slot, what does that do?
Try to uninstall nvidia's driver, what does that do?
Try to update nvidia drivers from the official website, does that help?
Turn on windows update and run it through, does that help?

However the left over points will help I'm sure of.  If not you might need to call a mechanic for a fix.

I have done Windows Update.
But how can I uninstall and update Nvidia driver?  :razz:

What runs slow? The laptop generally or while gaming? Before this occurred had you updated your drivers? Is the laptop overheating?(You'd need a program to read temperature data to see if it really is)

Start > In search box type NVIDIA, It'll open NVIDIA Control panel. There you can update the drivers.

Just did that now and it says "NVIDIA GPU is not funcional because its not connected to a screen" or something like that.

No its fast generally and before this Nvidia stop working the game worked great now its slow.
And I dont know if the driver is updated because I honestly dont know how to, and I turn of my laptop if it gets heated.

You have problems with the graphics card, Call an expert or wait for someone expert at this to post here, however calling a computer expert would be faster.

Oh damn this blue screen is horrible!
There's something wrong in your PC, try to format your windows maybe it helps.
If not like what they said it's with your gravity card, you have to change it cause "nvidia is no longer connected to your screen" about your gravity card...

I have done Windows Update.

Go to control panel, uninstall the graphics card.
Does that help in any way?
Run your games without the driver(may be slow and laggy). See if you get any problems.

If not, download the latest driver from the official website, and see if you still have problems. If that doesnt fix it, then shoot a email to nvidia's support.

Also dont look at the above post, DO NOT format your pc..

Switch off the laptop for a while until it has cooled down.
Does it run ok ? Then get a laptop cooler as it is an overheating problem.
Still slow ? Check out how much it costs to replace the graphics card (if you are lucky enough to have one that can be replaced in a laptp).

Gandalf, Laptop Graphics cards can't be replaced.

But Anna, Another good thing is, Laptop Graphic cards are very hard to take damage, unless you are running high end programs like GTA 4 on a pentium 4 laptop with 256MB RAM.

I've sent the laptop to a PC mechanic because now I get bluescreen everytime I start the computer.
Hopefully he might fix it, if not I might get a new laptop  :redface:
