How do I join the server

I'm new to servers and all that stuff, I can't find a way to actually join into the server, so yeah
Do I have to download anything, where do I register a character or give its description to get reviewed
Sorry for being the typical noob, but I can't find the answers in the forums either

You simply download the SA:MP client from here, follow the installer instructions, install it and then run it.

Once you've done that, add Argonath to your favorites by clicking Servers -> Add Server in the SA:MP client and copy this IP into the textbox: 178.63.52.144:7777
Then just join and register.

If the game does not work, try applying the third-party patch that is also available on the SA:MP download page.

When I get to the game it says account already exists and for me to type in the password, i never entered a username though so I don't know what it's talking about :S I tried typing in my forum password but that didn't work, help please !

That name will already be taken if you were not the person to register it, choose another name.
