Notification on tabs

Hello,

basically sometimes I miss out if I have a new PM and I read about 2 hours later so if possible can we have a notification on our chrome tab? So if I have 1 pm it would be (1) Argonath RPG Index or if I had 5 pm's it would be (5) Argonath RPG Index

Nice idea and would have to be looked at to see if there's an extension for it to be added to SMF. I like the idea though even if I don't get many PMs that often.

It would just be a matter of someone making a mod that changes the page title when PM's are received.

Keep in mind, though. SMF does not have dynamic pages once loaded, so you would have to integrate some sort of AJAX or javascript-based system to constantly check for PM's, which may tax the server if used improperly.

PM is not an IM. I usually do not read them within 2 hours anyway.

You could always go to Modify Profile > Personal Messaging and tick the box next to this line;

"Show a popup when I receive new messages."

It's better than no alert.
