I actually discovered this as a part of Axe's Apollo Space TV campaign. The company behind the actual contest through Axe is working on something absolutely amazing: Commercial space travel for the average person by 2014.

Although it does not mention cost, and in the beginning this will likely be more for those who can afford it, this is still absolutely amazing to see. It also opens up the possibility for government agencies like NASA to hire out people and companies for space expeditions for the purposes of research, rather than spending hundreds of millions of dollars on it themselves, as well as the future possibility of traveling via space to destinations across our own planet! This could potentially be even safer in some ways, and would cut out the exhaust fumes that are plaguing our atmosphere from standard jet planes. It would also create jobs, and cut the need for such massive government funding for their space agencies, potentially saving them money, and helping citizens to make more!
What do you guys think? I'm actually quite excited by this company's mission, and I really hope to see it come to light.
