Well i have been considering buying a GFX card for a while now, i need some advice on what to buy. My budget is about 50$

I found a seemingly good deal on a Nvidia GT 610 2 GB, would this be able to carry me through 2014-2015?
I don't care about high or ultra settings, i mainly want to be able to play games like Witcher, BF4 without lagg.

My pc specs:
Intel I7, 6 GB ram, Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Resolution: 1600x900

Also if not GT 610, are there any other viable alternatives?

youll just end up losing money in the long run, i had a gt 630 2gb before upgrading too my 7770, and the performance is poor.

Do not buy this GPU. It will bottlenecks your overall performance.

I don't remember the model (Will update my post when i access it), but i believe it's one of the earlier versions.

Also, how long do you think the 7770 can last? (Can it get through 2015 games?)

Given that you are talking about something more than a year away, and we have no way to predict that far ahead to see how powerful games and graphics may be, I'd say no. At least nothing really high-end. It is possible, though. My old Nvidia 8800 GT is still able to run GTA IV just fine, and it came out years ago. I doubt I could run games like Battlefield 4, though. It really just depends on how the technology evolves, and what your system is capable of handling. I'd recommend looking at something that can easily be upgraded in the future if you feel you need more power, (assuming your choices don't already support such).

Please also keep in mind that I am speaking in terms of technological advancement, and not in terms of the power of the items you chose. I haven't studied the specs on your choices, so that will also play a factor in how long they last.

Better downgrade to i5 and 4GB RAM (RAM is cheap and can be upgraded anytime, buy one stick of 4GB for now) and go for AT LEAST GT630 since you don't want high or ultra.

sugar battlefield 4 was released on 360 and ps3 why do you think the 7770 cant handle that?, it runs all next gen games fine in 1360x768 with 0 lag at 60+ fps same with ac4

My budget is about 50$

With computing you ALWAYS get what you pay for. If it's cheap, the quality and performance will be cheap.

You're better off saving up your money and then getting something a bit better in the future.

However the GT 610 will most likely run Battlefield 4 in low settings but it isn't very future proof. Meaning it might not be able to run games which release in the future.

Well, getting a 7770 is still a really tight squeeze for me and i'm not sure i can make it.

Would the 6670 be able to scale nicely?I googled up the tech. comparison of the two cards, but i really need to know whether a I7 + 6670 can run current games at low, and if it is future proof for atleast one or two years

No mate, definitely a big no... You have a nice set of CPU and you'll get to kill it with an 64bit GPU like this.. Better save up for something better! at least one 128bit gpu!
