*sigh* Another topic on the internet full of ignorant fanboys not ready to accept a change.

Rytuklis, why are you even wasting your time? :/

If they don't want to try Windows 8 / 8.1 , their loss. Short and simple.

I'm shocked people are still running XP with a smile.
Not to mention it will lose ALL support in a few months...No Windows Updates, good luck to y'all getting hacked due to security breaches and such.

P.S. This is what my Windows 8.1 looks like.  :D

What mod is that? Would love it in my Surface :)

It was supposed to stop updating already, but it still updates regardless.

Windows Updates do not protect you from getting hacked, having functional brains does.

Hardly a loss. I've recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and I still have mixed feelings. It has some cool things, some terrible things, some what the fuck features.

P.S. This is what my Windows 8.1 looks like.  :D

That does look pretty nice.

Didn't exactly claim so. Just made a point that Microsoft will not issue any updates for any future breaches/loopholes to be found in XP, which im pretty sure will be everyones great interest since it is still the most commonly used OS in the world. Having a functional brain has nothing to do with having a possibly breachable OS in the future. But if you're gonna throw that argument I'm gonna say that there is NO reason anymore not to upgrade to 7, 8/8.1 if you have a functional brain.

In my opinion, one of the most limiting factors of Windows XP, is that practically it's only 32 bit, one hell of a bottleneck for the PC.

Even though you can get 64bit versions it is like you were getting at limited.

pain in the ass to actually install the piece of shit and keep it from crashing every two hours.

I'm so laughing at this right now. You just gave yourself away, smartass.. Pain in the ass to install? What are you judging it from? What other people told you? It's now more than obvious you never even had 8 installed on your PC and youre moaning just because others are. For the whole good month if not even more that I have Windows 8 it HAS NOT CRASHED EVEN ONCE, contrary to Windows 7, I constantly game and I do a lot of multitasking and other stuff but it NEVER HAS CRASHED OR EVEN FROZE. Unless you have a 512MB RAM pc or have a corrupted pirate WINDOWS 8.1 installed, well, that's another story, you cant really blame the OS for you being poor.

I have had it for 4 days now and .. it is .. kinda cool actually, but I need to take time to change my wallpaper and personalize it a bit but I'm too lazy to, the only problem I have is that it has strange controlls for two screens as each screen has it's own region and not an extended region, so you can open start on both screens and options on both screens, but overall it is good.

You can remove the Metro GUI and return to the normal desktop as you usually would do in Windows 7 and have a start menu. Look it up in google.

I can't be bothered, I'd rather just deal with it.

It's very simple actually. You just right click at your taskbar and choose "boot straight to desktop", then you download a few MB's weighing program and install it. Viola.

My Windows 8, can you see the difference? The only thing is that it's few times faster
