Is the double-post allowed? A lot of times SugarD (and another guys too) said me that it isn't allowed, once time I asked SugarD why I can't do it and he said me to not be troll  :uhm:...

I always see Gandalf double-posting so I don't think it's prohibited.

There used to be forum rules listed in one of the topics, but ever since the rules moved to wiki I guess forum rules were lost since I couldn't find them.

Anyways, it did say double-posting is not allowed. Also I'd guess the reason why Gandalf double-posts is because he doesn't read forums multiple times a day, so he checks the posts made while he was gone and answers to them one-by-one and sometimes it creates a double-post.

Hope this helped :D

I think it comes down to the reason why there's a double post.

Hopefully we have no bot admins who are clueless about what their job actually is. :)
Most when they say that double posting isn't allowed generally mean that you shouldn't be physically posting multiple times simply to say the same thing - 'spam' a topic or flood it with posts.

If you are double posting across a decent time lapse I would not say it is a problem.
Also, if you are just posting to convey an altogether different point or to update a topic there shouldn't be any problem with that.

So long as  the forums are used for relevant discussion and not in a disruptive, possibly offensive way then you will be fine, I am sure.

Sounds Logic.

Even tho does not matter the double post because he is just answering our replies, theres a difference between a person giving answers than a troll posting useless stuff multiple times. This is also to prevent posthunters, and i don't think that Gandalf is posthunting. :D

I have to agree with Legend, if the post you're about to make has two different points yet are both on topic I don't see a problem with double-post, as long as you don't continually do it in every topic. Reasonable double-posting has always been allowed.

What Legend and Kessu said.

Maybe one of the reasons Gandalf double-posts is because of the amount of people who make posts addressed to him. I won't be surprised. That's something only he himself could answer though.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

Individual posts addressing each user separately makes it a lot easier for one to read.
Not only that but it is easier then having a single wall of text post that one would have to search through to find a reply to their question or post.

Yea he likes to do that, just ignore it.

If you can keep all your content in one post, it just looks neater. That's all.

Didn't we have a feature that merged the posts together if it was double post?

Where must we go... we who wander this Wasteland in search of our better selves?

Actually we did, maybe it got removed or something.

The remove of this 'feature' proves even more that duble-post it's allowed, no? What do you think?

On the contrary, the feature was never re-added after the forum was re-installed.
