Aside from tricking hackers, you can also use them as target practice. In the MTA:VC era, Argonath's roleplayers were respected for having good fighting skills, and were able to fight off hackers on their own. (rather than crying like a princess with a rat in her skirt the moment one appeared)

Hey, back in the old days of SA:MP we were pretty good at this too!!

Not sure about how good they are now a days, that night did show some resilience and promise though!
