Qatar 2022 World Cup

‘Leggings are NOT pants’: Qatar puts its foot down with dress code as it launches advertising campaign reminding female tourists what not to wear.

- 'If you are in Qatar, you are one of us': Qatar aims to educate tourists on modesty
- Men wearing shorts and singlets in public will be frowned upon
- Women should also avoid wearing garments which are too short or too tight, such as mini-skirts or sleeveless dresses
- Imprisonments for a period of 6 months for gesture, reciting songs, utters etc

muslims who visit other countries (such as Europe, US) and cover up head to toe, wear burka (bin bag), scarf etc, doesn't these offend European and US cultures and values?

Europe, US and other non-muslim countries must ban all types of outfits that does not belong to their culture.

Do you expect from people to be positive about this?

This is not true.

Usually, Muslims bring their culture wherever they go, if that country has more Christians they will complain how there aren't enough mosques, how people are disrespecting them by asking "Are you muslim?" and other similar non-offensive sentences and they will most likely constantly tell you what is haram and what is not.

You know that Qatar is one of the world richest country, so dont worry about that. They going prepare for that =)

btw...check out their brand new stadiums for the World cup 2022 =)

http://www.qatar.to/stadiums/World-Cup-2022-stadiums.php

'' Under its proposal to FIFA, Qatar will build 9 new stadiums and renovate 3, with the 12 venues divided among 7 host cities. The 7 host cities are Al-Daayen, Al-Khor, Al-Rayyan, Al-Shamal, Al-Wakrah, Doha and Umm Slal.

After the Cup it is planned to dismantle parts of the stadiums and send them to developing countries to make 22 new stadiums.

Climate controlled stadiums

Qatar's bid organisers say that the stadiums will be zero-carbon emitting and climate controlled (The Fifa World Cup is always held in Europe's off-season in June and July, and during this time Qatar's average daytime high is in excess of 40 °C). The stadiums will take measures to reduce solar radiation and warm winds, and provide soft air conditioning to provide adequate climatic conditions (these measures have not before been deployed on stadiums of this size).  ''

One of the many reasons Islamic countries aren't respected, what a shame.

This exactly.

Not to mention France has a ban on headscarves and there are still many other European countries working on it. ;)

This is not true.

lol, so you're telling me approximately 1.6 billion people complain about non-Islamic countries and get butthurt when people ask them ''non-offensive'' questions? :app:

It's the country's choice. Don't like it; don't come. They're the richest country in the world anyway ;)

Usually
Imagine thousands of people from Europe wearing long sleeves on high temperature, half of them will get heatstroke.

Its different to show your culture, different to limit others.

They volunteered to host this international event. Which is inviting/welcoming people from all cultures to their country. Though they are telling them they are obligated to follow Qatar's culture, and not bring their own. FIFA should have taken this into consideration when electing Qatar though...

Qatar paid enough to prevent that from happening.

I doubt that they will spend time between matches in hotel only, without going out.
