Acer: Bought from my brother for €200(he would've put it for sale on the dutch ebay anyway for 2x as much)
Macbook: Bankrupt company, I could take it over for naught.
HP pentium 4: ING bank replaced their infrastructure and an acquaintance could take a few home.
HP Proliant: €15 from dutch ebay, despite sounding like a vacuum cleaner, it was worth the money.
Raspberry pi: €60 excl. shipping.

Luck is on my side pretty much as I bought the acer as upgrade to the pentium 4 and macbook 
The proliant was bought as side-project during internship, and the pi is just perfect to tinker with, and it's community support is amazing.
