It all started like 10 years ago. when we made the "Disconnect" From gaza strip. Before that we had the contorl of gaza Hamas was a very little group then no civies were dead and no rockets were launched to israel after that it all started. People knew that what will happen but still we made it to make peace.now 10 years later what people have thought what will happen happend and its already to late we cant go back in time.Thats the reason that Palastine wont be a country never , It will became second Gaza

10 years ago things were a lot worse.
All the citizens in Gaza today were in the West Bank ten years ago (most of them).
Maybe Hamas was a little organization, but there were other terror organizations like Fatah.
They didn't have rockets, but they committed terror attacks, which were a lot more serious and did a lot more damage.
Now, the Palestinians in the West Bank are more educated and don't have access to weapons, yet sometimes do attack.

If it wasn't for the constant terror, the Palestinians would be free.

What do you know?
You have opinions based on the media.
You don't live in the West Bank/Gaza/Israel, you don't know what's a lie and what's the truth here.
You are another person who thinks he knows who is right and who is wrong, even though there is not a right side in the conflict.

It's funny how people who don't know shit and that aren't even from here say what is "the truth".
Smart people and experts...

Petarda has been one of the users in this topic who are notorious for steering the discussion in a direction where both sides insult each other, and now such users are muted. Let this be an example that we will not tolerate uneducated and toxic discussions.

For the sake of informed discourse, it would be best if everyone cited at least one source when opening up a new area of the topic.

On-topic, there's something I'm curious about.

Maybe Hamas was a little organization, but there were other terror organizations like Fatah.
They didn't have rockets, but they committed terror attacks, which were a lot more serious and did a lot more damage.

Considering the scale of today's conflict, how was Fatah worse than Hamas is today? How did they do a lot more damage?

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

Ten years ago, there was no such thing as Gaza Strip. The area was part of Israel's land.
All the terrorists that are today in Gaza, were in the West Bank.
In addition, the West Bank border was not as stable as today's, so the terrorists in the West Bank could easily enter Israel.
Back then, the number of terror attacks (such as blowing up buses, shots on Israeli cars, murders of entire families) in Israel was significantly higher.
These terror attacks happened weekly, and caused a lot of casualties and damage.

The difference between today and ten years ago, is that back then, all the terrorists were inside Israel, and today, they are only in Gaza,
so they can't do much, except launching rockets that mostly don't reach cities, and if do, the Iron Dome disables them.

Also, as far as I know, Fatah was more radical, and more harmful towards both sides (To the Israelis and to the Palestinians).

Again, sorry for double-posting.

Just as I expected, the cease-fire was violated after only three days, when Hamas launched 35 rockets to Israel cities.
Hamas only wants to be expressed with power and violence, and isn't open for negotiations and talks.

It all started with the ISIS-bullshit but soon turned into Muslims vs The rest.

People brought in Israeli flags and flags with Arab text on it. Which brought it back to that subject.
We now have to beware of that subject basically everywhere since somehow anything can turn into a fight about Gaza.

Quote from: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4557726,00.html
Israel has agreed to ease the closure on the Gaza Strip, according to information obtained by an israeli website regarding an apparent agreement between Hamas and Israel, achieved via Egyptian mediation at the negotiations currently underway in Cairo.
Israel will agree to transfer the Hamas government salaries through a third party – facilitating the payment of Hamas officials' salaries. It was further agreed that Israel would gradually expand the fishing area off the Gaza coast, initially expected to be six nautical miles. It was also decided that construction materials will enter Gaza under close supervision.
