Traffic situations in Argonath RPG.

I am a driving teacher on Argonath RPG, and an Emergency Service Worker, now if I am Serving part time in the SAFD or SAPD, and heading down the road to an emergency, I find it highly annoying at the fact that when there is an emergency and we are trying to save a life, 98% of the drivers on the road simply do not yeild to an emergency vehicle with lights and sirens. Example, I was in FD EMS rushing with my squadron to a hospital with an injured officer and motorist in the rear, im going down the road, lights and sirens, and well a vehicle in the opposing lane coming from the opposite direction decides to make his left turn while he saw me coming, and ended up hitting me intentionally injuring everyone aboard the Ambulance and Ladder truck behind me.
Another example is well, the traffic system of this city is simply corrupt and needs to be corrected, I dont know if people are "Buying" their license, but this is ridicoulas and needs to be fixed.

When I was in DS, we taught people properly and they drove perfectly fine in practice. It's just the police's fault, if you ask me. They after cash and not RP.

People have their SFX turned down and won't hear you most likely, also it's hard to blame it on driving school as some people might not even posess driving license and some just don't really care about the law.

There should be more server rules to control the way people drive. Like RP driving - you may not drive on the sidewalks, you may not drive in wrong line, ofcourse there should be exceptions, like when you are a suspect and escaping police, etc.

Good that this is being brought up by non-cops.
Honestly the biggest issue is the interaction from 'civilians/criminals' to 'cops/overall police'. Most of the times, when a cop tries to pull someone over, it's either moaning, shooting or a pursuit that ends in nothing. Maybe 5 percent of the pullovers end up in an actual role play scene, which is not the biggest issue and nor what this topic is about.

The biggest issue I see is that some cops don't even know the driving-school rules, Only what, 2 percent know the parking rules and the rule regarding what civilians should do when an emergency vehicle with lights and sirens pass by. There fore they do not act on these cases. I am not quite sure if the driving school classes and exam has changed, but I remember the ones I gave in 2011.

A possible solution is asking the SAPD if they can add driving school rules to their examination tuition and classes. And make sure the DS keep teaching the appropriate material. Also for the ones getting pulled over, remember you can have some nice role play scenes and evading is not always the best option.

If im serving in the SAPD and they refuse to yeild I end up pulling them over, and 98% of them have their license, the brand new ones, another thing, if an Emergency vehicle blocks the road, its for a reason, but people blow past them or ram them with the expression "Blocking the Road" and it really ruins alot of things with this server, people need to respect and follow Traffic to the one of many steps to making or Re-Making this RP  Gold!

if civilians break a road block made by police, that's considered (atleast used to be) a rulebreak, leads to a ban immidietly.

If that led to an immediate ban then I'd leave this server.

People always hit the road blocks and then get in trouble and are quick to moan in the public chat, fire trucks are backing into the station, and people cut them off and cause problems, like cmon, this is an RP server for a reason, just saying.

I'm pretty sure it was a rule in late rs4 - 2013, when i started playing. Never done that myself, but some1 i knew got banned for it.

Chris, i'm not telling anyone to ban players, just make server a little bit more strict, that will bring more players.

People believe that they are entitled to full control over the outcome of the rp and whine when it doesn't go the way they want, which completely ruins the fun.

I'd love to see some forced roleplaydriving but since Argonath isn't an srs rp server we'll never get it.

Reread what i said.. It WAS a rule back in rs4 when i started playing, not saying it should be a rule right now, even tho i think it is already.
I'm talking about adding some server rules for traffic.
