Dear Sirs,

I am of the belief that the current flag of Argonath RPG does not represent the community.

It seems complicated in my opinion and I think it's time for a change or discussion on if the flag actually represents the people of Argonath RPG at current!

I'd much rather choose something simple like this!

It's a lot more symbolic in itself rather than what's going on with the current flag.

Kind regards,
Monte.

Why doesn't it represent the community?

Why doesn't it represent the community?

Let's not forget that the flag of a Nation, a Community, a Cause is something that people recognize, they see the reason behind it.

Take for example the UK flag.

There is no meaning behind the four stars which exist on the flag, as far as i know...
The way the stars are done actually distracts the eyes, it keeps the eyes from seeing or embracing the tree which I believe would have been the focal point or the symbol of something, but instead the stars just distract away from what could be.

Take for example the flag  I posted, which is just one I'd adopt (and It's currently used in the Coast Guard standard).

Among a sea of blue there is a tree of hope, of something.
What does a tree represent?
- A cycle.
- Life.
- simplicity, purity.

A simple tree can provide us with many a thing. (Do I need to list the things?)

Don't assume.

I disagree with changing it.

Why not remove the stars from the American flag too?

Simplicity is not the answer. You don't just change a flag for no reason.

wRONg.

Do your research, I remember there was a reason for the stars when the "flag" was made ;)

If there is a reason, let it be known. Otherwise they are stars without reason!

Good Sirs,

I feel that at the time that flag was chosen it was done because of somewhat of a necessity and not something that truly represents us. For example we are still clueless about what the stars are about, we should already know this information.

It is common belief of why trees are important.
Stars may have their uses but they are but until we are able to move them they are merely for show and have no real representation.

In the USA flag (thx for raising it Devin) the stars represent a state.
In Argonath RPG the stars represent what? States? There may be more than four states, or less. The common belief or adoption of a star = a state.

As for the tree, which is surrounded by stars, there is a deeper meaning.

I'm not completely sure, but I think the 4 stars was in the flag to represent the 4 RPG servers Argonath had at the time. (MTA:VC, VC:MP, SA:MP and MTA:SA)
