Just got a 144hz monitor and using the same settings as I did with my Flatscreen TV but I have lost like 60 FPS. I know it's not the biggest deal but it annoys me as hell! I just re-installed Windows 8 earlier and I don't know what the problem may be. Got all the newest drivers so I don't know what could cause this, this only happens in CS:GO. I normally have a stable 299/300 FPS but it's around 200-260 now.

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

I wouldn't worry about it mate.

The refresh rate of the monitor is 144Hz, so anything above 144 is a waste of time, plus you probably can't even seen the difference, considering an average film in the cinema uses 24 frame per second  :D

Yea I know mate but we humans tend to always want the "best". I would not see a difference for sure but it just annoys the hell outta me that I use to get a stable 299/300 FPS and now it's unstable but still always above 144.

Like I said before somewhere in this topic before, it does matter in CSGO as the more FPS you have, the smoother your mouse input is (for whetever reason)

I am seriously thinking of re-installing and going back to Windows 10 and see if that even helps. I do play quite well and have no problem in killing people, the fact I know I use to get more FPS just annoys the hell outta me. I kinda just went back to Windows 8.1 and I fucking love it!

Very weird. Still, at least it sounds less quirky than the FPS glitches and effects on SA:MP.

Never tried CS:GO, but that map looks identical (albeit some graphical upgrades) to a map in CS1.6... kind of awesome.

Well it is basically the same game, just newer engine, meaning redone gameplay mechanics and graphics
