On 2.2 Cops weren't shown on the Radar, but now they are again. It would be better if Cops weren't shown on the Map so when Crims do Kidnappings or Drug Deals ect. Cops can get vantage Points...Any else agree?  :cop:

If you're gonna take one section of people off of the map, it's only fair that the other people get taken off as well, it's better to just leave it.

Cops off the radar - advantage of cops over criminals... This was already discussed...
Wanna cops off radar - make suggestion to remove criminals off the radar...
Then try to find the guy in Verdant Meadows by all ARPD team... And invite me to watch this excellent idea in work...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

We can't make many operations, when the police raid a mafia or gang meeting, they ran away before we block the zone because they see us on the map. I think the criminals have an advantage on the police... they know where to go and what to do because they see the police cars on the map.. which is more Metagaming then RP. I was hiding behind a wall, next to some dealers, and 1 came there to check what i was doing... so he messed my cover.

Luca lets take a chase... Not a random operations that are 1/100chases...
You know exactly where to drive and where to get him and he has no idea where are cops...
That is advantage...
I am sure criminals will start telling later "wtf cops are invisible why?"...
And for fair playing - then lets make all invisible, citizens too, so cops will not have idea where to drive to check civilians... Only then players will start demand back all dots as it was before with local chat default "Ghost bored server"...

Paroxysm, you can find the same topic that was 2 or 3 weeks ago..

To make cops invisible if you remember Gandalf told to already "if u turn off the sound you won't hear any copcar behind and with going back you will simply ram it" (and he isn't using any sound).
There are two sides: cops and criminals. if you give advantage to cops, criminals will be upset, same will go to cops if criminals will be invisible. Also I agree with Ron - if developers will make none player visible this server will be a "ghost server"

I have an idea, maybe the cops could be visible in smaller range as it is now? (in minimap I mean).

Thank you.

We had no problem to roleplay with radars as cops... And as for me - it is just an excuse of bad experience...
Why should we disable radars if all roleplay depends of players and not of mapping in game...

Yeah well, it's kinda sad that you can't do any big ambushes with SWAT etc because everyone sees them on map.
But, on other side, it would be damn lame if all map icons were disabled.

So, I think that it's best to save the map icons. Unless it's possible to make something like this:

Unsuspected people see everyone on map.
Cops (color blue) see everyone expect suspects. (color orange)
Suspects (color orange) see everyone expect cops. (color blue)

That way, it would benefit best, in my opinion. Map wouldn't be totally empty.

Ofc, it might be good idea for example for SWAT and FBI to have possibility of disappearing from map, but I have no idea if that's possible - and even if it is, it's unfair for others.

Then how do you expect cops to find other cops when they need assistance? Its hard to type and drive at the same time.. actually its impossable :)
