Do many of you use HTML editors or other (semi-)integrated development tools?

In the past I have worked with Adobe Dreamweaver, which is a lot of fun and although you can edit the markup manually you can still be limited by its software constraints.

Sublime text for regular HTML/CSS/JS, PhpStorm for PHP projects, Visual Studio (C#) for SAMP scripting.

I use notepad++ for most of my projects, java, php, html/css and javascript. Uses it due the complex and ease of the editor, it has great plugins etc

Try Atom, too. Teddy gave me that when I was scripting for LU like a year ago.

back again!

Sublime Text 2, easy for HTML/CSS and pretty useful plugins, like Emmet..  :)

Sounds good!

Some of the older versions I have tried, like Dreamweaver, were good at creating a general page and had some decent HTML editing features. However, you were mostly limited to their preset designs and formats.

I would never use a product like Dreamweaver. You can always get the best outcome when writing in raw CSS (or Stylus, LESS, etc. etc.), it doesn't really matter what you use. The presets with those are often terrible in design, provide horrid user experience, and are just wrong. A custom design is always the better avenue. Atom is good, Sublime Text 3 is good, I also often use WebStorm for larger projects because of intellisense which really helps.

Unless you're like me and constantly shift in small increments of 5px trying to get that perfect angle. In one hour a good 20 minutes is spent in CTRL+S, ALT+TAB and F5 alone at my side
