RS5 had a period with 80-100 players.
It's not because you don't like RS5 that it's a failure.

80-100 players were reflected by players trying to adapt to RS5 - they failed, because the infrastructure of profitability was flawed.

What we saw was economic stagnation compounded by management refusal to intervene.

Though much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Hope remains that one day the drugs and business will bring profit, motivate people to work, and that criminal groups will have something to work for, something to entertain them and increase their activity.
On other side, "freecops" to lighten up base of Law Enforcement and raise that side of activity. I hope those combined will bring back RS4 kind of atmosphere.
There's no need for some real world economy structure in a game where people just want to have fun, get a car, house and enjoy.

When you login, you try to find someone to roleplay with, but the sad thing is most of them are afk...

Players log in this game on occasions. Thats a fact <<

Now we are on RS5 and we should focus on what can we implemented or improved.

Scripts and advertise the server.

Not all DM cases are the same. It's all up to the case.
You know that what i'm saying it's true. There are many cases but it's obvious that there is favouritism and injustices.

Then don't agree with it.  Just don't sit there and think we're going to change them to suit you.

Now that we're done discussing something completely unrelated to the thread you can get back on track, OP never posted it to talk about how long someone gets banned for.
Of course you don't agree, I don't think that you're going to change them to suit me, as I said no one will give a fuck, also nothing is going to change.

Yeah he didn't but i want to talk about it.

I share the same opinion as Frank Hawk:

My opinion:

- Server was popular at the height of RS4 (100+)
- Management wanted to upgrade to RS5 (since last RS4 backup was 3 months ago and code was not maintainable)
- Players voted on the forum in favour of keeping RS4 and rolling back changes 3 months prior
- Management refused to acknowledge players overwhelming request to keep RS4
- Management pressed ahead with RS5 upgrade despite scripts not being complete
- Management decision came at a time of SA:MP popularity decline
- A large player base left the server
- RS5 did not incorporate the same feel as RS1, RS2, RS3 or RS4.
- Scripts/functionality were too advanced for the demographics of available players
- Economy has stalled continously with management refusing to sponsor key groups by imposing unrealistic pre-exquisites
- Development staff changed bringing a new vision for direction further deterring us from our heritage
- IC/OOC rise and invasion led to the server being split into 2 sides
- Large portion of IC/OOC promotors left taking many with them
- Remaining player base remains (often long term veterans who are getting older with other responsiblities)
- SA:MP decline accelerates (would you play Tetris if you could play GTA V?)

We've killed our server with our own hands.

It will never be the same again.

RS5 was the wrong decision, at the wrong time at the wrong place.

But we don't go once again in a RS4 vs RS5 arguement.
Now we are on RS5 and we should focus on what can we implemented or improved.
It has because old players who left were testing RS5. then they left.

It isn't a failure (it is in my opinion) but it didn't bring any kind of benefits.

The server has gone to shit, and this is mainly down to Teddy and his chums. Where is the RP in these new scripts? Trucking, fishing, stock market.. don't even get me started on the bank heist script  :uhm:

For the people who are saying SA:MP is old or anything, there are right now 3239 servers with 30853 players online..
