If someone has the time to create an Android, iOS or Windows Phone topic of the same quality please do. I'll be interested to read it. Or if it's already been created, could someone send me a link. <3 Dell.

When adding value gets you worse off than you were before, due to a hidden agenda against you, its time to quit. Then remember why you quit in the first place.

Windows phone is no more. Android and iOS is simple. iOS is for the simplistic, easy to use interface who is fine without customization (or at least needing to bypass security to achieve it). Android is for those who don't mind a bit more complex an interface, want a more open platform with limitless customization, and possibility.

If you brush up on Linux, find out about ALL the distro's (distrowatch.com) then you might be able to figure it out how to do it. Then there's the next thing, the hassle of the install. If you're going to make it your primary operating system, then unfortunately it's going to cost you 12 hours of labour time. (In addition to the amount of hours you have to download the ISO file, put it onto a CD / DVD or USB Drive and figure out what's compatible with your system 32bit / 64bit x86 i386, i486 i586 i686.

I installed, configured, and secured 10 Linux servers in about 3-4 hours. Where do you get 12 hours from?

I just bought a new lumia 640xl and they just announced new phones.

Lenovo just bought motorola and layed off the whole mobile division, it's just a smart way to buy patents

Never liked Windows Phones, plus never really used one so I can not really comment on that. Though from friends' phones I've seen, GUI was fluently fast, photo/videoshooting was good, gallery was loading super-fast, however Market sucked.

Apple - iOS surely a way of 'bragging' I have/had (:P) $$ in my pocket here in Greece at least. Though nowdays most people own a high end phone, yet have no money for credit phonecalls  Mostly used because it can generally do everything easy without complexity.
I've owned 2, 3, 3GS, 4 in the past, however non satisfied me.

Android as mentioned earlier, stock is always laggy as f***, customized it can be the king.

I am still rocking a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (2011) with flashed JellyBean. Single Core @1,6Ghz, 512mb RAM still able to use Facebook and browse without lag due it's custom kernel + rom, though battery dies instantly.

You're kidding right? Stock Android in any case will probably be the fastest experience compared to any OEM's "customizations".

I work in the IT field as consultant. My workstation is a Mac where I run a VM with Windows 10 Pro and also SSH into AWS linux instances.

I don't think anyone should be completely biased and never experience the other side. Each OS has a fault, and some are better than others in certain factors.

Pure android is no laggy, I was reffering to branded edited ones which add many unecessery programs that cause lag after all.
As I mentioned earlier, my Neo V which is almost 5 years old now, single core and 512mb ram, is doing very fine thanks to custom ROM+Kernel.

Look at some YouTube videos for guidance. Try a virtual machine and run Ubuntu in that to get you started. <3 Dell.
