I've heard France and Russia signed an agreement to co-operate in the fight against ISIS. I hope an agreement can be reached that will finally end the disputes between Russia and the west.

That agreement was signed before the plane crashed, not just with France, yet with USA aka NATO.
Russia has been opening their hand to NATO, to form a unified coalition against ISIS and work together, since the start, but for some reasons USA is constantly blocking that. Probably because that would mean for them to eat all the shit they been throwing on Russia and Putin for years.
Too bad they don't realize they'll be left alone, because most of western countries wants to work together and destroy this worldwide threat.
China, India, Iran, are supporting such coalition as well, as well as Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, and the rest of Latin America. African countries who are the biggest victims of ISIS and their sisters organization, after Syria and Iraq, included.

and @Cofiliano

Once again, a very naive approach. Do you really think Russia fights ISIS out of good will? Because it cares about Europe and wants to protect you from the terrorists?
Are you guys really THAT naive?

The only reason why Russia is fighting ISIS, is to protect its interest. It is in Russia's interest that Assad remains in power and ISIS opposes Assad. If ISIS fought alongside Assad, Russia would not lay a finger on them.
The same is with America. To answer your question, Cofiliano, US refuses Russia's help because they're supporting Free Syrian Army, which aims to overthrow Assad, while Russia bombs Assad's opposition alongside ISIS. US wants to see Assad gone, Russia wants to see Assad in power. Both countries are pursuing their own interest and doesn't give a fuck about the people of Europe. Take off the pink glasses and get a grip on real life, people.

Well said, both Russia and the US only care about what's good for themselves, the only difference between the two is that Russia doesn't have a 'military union' which it can drag into stupid unnecessary wars.

Not saying ISIS is an unnecessary war, the whole should be getting involved to destroy them.

Russia is destroying the biggest world wide threat since WWII. Of course like all other countries in the world they're doing it for their own interest, but this is the interest of the entire world. Why was USA being so gentle toward ISIS last 4 years? If they wanted them destroyed, they would have do it in few weeks. But they still have a purpose for them, so hence why they're still alive.
And what's the problem of Assad remaining in power? The whole world saw that those "proxy revolution" that took down people like Gaddafi, Egyptan king, Iraq, Afganistan, only made those countries completely destroyed, divided, in a civil non stopping war for years, with millions of deaths and refuges, and creation of radical proxy groups, such as ISIS.
Syria and Lybia even Iraq were a wonderful countries, before someone decided its time to create a constant chaos in them, and take over their resources.

The same is with America. To answer your question, Cofiliano, US refuses Russia's help because they're supporting Free Syrian Army, which aims to overthrow Assad, while Russia bombs Assad's opposition alongside ISIS. The difference is, Russia protects their interest by destroying ISIS, Americans are 'protecting' their interested by forming ISIS, "Free Syrian Army", etc, which are just paid mercenaries fighting for Saudi Arabia and USA interests. That's why USA wont make a collation, yet they wont even destroy ISIS on their own.

And this is something, that most people in the world realize by now. People realize that the cold war, and all those NATO/USA "democracy actions" in foreign countries was nothing  but a charade for the horror, based on  their own selfish reasons, that turned those countries into a death lands, for good.
That "80s" and "90s" way of thinking is dead, the "fairy tale" that most of European people lived in turned out to be a hoax, and majority is waking up from it. Because the rest of the world was aware of this, from their first hand experience, long time ago.

We're not the ones being naive here.

Russians will not start WWIII. Hell, Russians wont even attack Turkey. Why? They stand no chance.
Turkey has the advantage of location.

This pretty much explains why Russia can't and won't attack Turkey.

Greek planes don't fly into Turkish airspace lol. Need I remind you that in 1996, when a Turkish fighter entered Greek airspace it was shot down by a Greek jet.

lel, that's just for show. Russia's bubble burst with that incident and it's time for all to realize that.

>muh unnoticed superpower
>muh sleeping beast
>america uses expensive shit hardware
>russia uses super effective cheap reliable hardware
>russia stronk

>russian jet gets shot down
>putins ego has just been btfo
>mad af, issuing strongly worded statements
>but in reality can't do shit that has any real effect

>"h-hey ruskie comrades... d-dont go to turkey ok, they poop country"

Aaaaand that's just it lol.

They can't even cut the gas to Turkey because STRONK RUSSIA'S economy depends on gas exports. They can't put economic sanctions on Turkey because they have a trade surplus with Turkey. If they cut the gas to Turkey, they'll be hurting themselves more than they are hurting. Nice economy, Russia :')

And if they cut the gas, Turkey will close the Bosphorus to Russian warships severely limiting their capabilities in Syria (They wouldn't even be able to bring in fuel at meaningful quantities)

So yeah, that sleeping giant strong Russia can't even do shit against Turkey, FKING TURKEY.

People talk how Putin cant do shit to Erdogan, are you guys for real?
You guys do realize there's far more better ways of engagement and retaliation then a military strike?
Turkey has the advantage of location.
Lol you do realize Turkey is surrendered by Russian navy and missiles systems?
Ever heard of the Black sea fleet?

Btw, as of today, Turkey wont  fly over their border with their planes anymore. I wonder why.
