Hi guys,

After switching from iPhone 4S to GSmart Classical Dual Sim, I cannot connect to 3G. The phone does support 3G, so does my operator. And yes it's available in my area, as I used it before on my iPhone.

Whenever the connectivity mode is set to Auto, my phone only uses 2G (E), which is slow as fuck. However, if I switch that to 3G only, my phone no longer connects to the actual mobile service provider, and it remains out of touch until I set it back to auto. Not to mention that when 3G only mode is on, I cannot use 3G either. The phone has two sim cards, I use it on the first slot (I only use one sim card), though I tried using the second too - didn't help.

Buy a real phone.

If you have nothing useful to say, why not keep your tongue where it belongs?

Besides, 3G connectivity is a problem with Android devices in general. I am not the first to expierence this nuisance.

Such a smartass. Too bad you're wrong, it appears that the problem is with the service provider after all.
I've just switched SIM cards to my old one out of curiosity, 3G works without a problem.

Considering most major phone brands have their phones made in China, you're stepping on alot of toes with that comment.

That's a wrong supposition..anyway try to set again the APN first

What is an APN, and how do I change it?

iPhones themselves are made in China.. They're only designed in California.

So, I finally got the reply from the service provider.

Apperantely, my phone is only able to detect 2100 MHZ 3G signal, while at my area they only send a 900 Mhz signal, while my old provider sends it at both signals, hence why i am able to use 3g with my old sim card.

So I told them that they give me a call once they get out of the stoneage technology, and that until then, I am going back to my old service provider.
Thank god for instant payment sim cards, switching is that easy :D

One more thing to try If you have a dual SIM device, only one SIM card is able to provide 3G at a time.
In Settings/more  under Mobile Network you can select which one has the 3G enabled.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.
