Click = $$, as far as I know. I think more interaction with the website equals to more money, not sure though.

But by the looks of things, there's no income from the Search Engine  right now, since AdSense hasn't been enabled for the CSE yet.

We do make money from the ads, but clicking them all day will get us blocked from making money instead of making more.
Main thing is to allow the ads to display and if you see smething that does interest you then click and visit the site.
Constantly clicking will be removed from earnings, and if the bad click count is too high they simply block the account, mening we have to find other less earning networks.

Sadly, enabling the default search of SMF will keep crashing the forums. I had quite an extended chat with Gandalf about it, around a week or two ago. And because of the scale of our forums, SMF just can't handle the pressure and fails, crashing the whole forums in mean-while.
Gandalf and I were both thinking about enabling a google search, like is enabled right now but more forum based, there's a few packages for that, but due to the holidays and personal items we haven't been able to do such yet.

I'll do my best to see if I can also enable it so it'll actually search private boards if you have the access to do so, but I doubt it's possible (sadface).
I'll keep you guys updated. And a thanks to Trane and Devin from my side too for the temp solution.

The problem is that Google does not discriminate. It is possible to let the Google search operate as a forum user, and it will display all topis that user can see. But to search topics on for instance admin level would make them visible to other users, not exactly what we wish to happen.

What I understand from this post is you think we can see admin board? I've tried the google feature and when I tried to go on a 2008 topic it gave me the message 'This is off limits to you' so rest assured admin board wont be revealed.

If we would let's say give Google search Axminster access. It'll show you all topics created in all admin boards. You can't access the topics but can still see the title and a small portion of the topic, which we don't want.
