I know we're not school teachers or parents but it's come to that point where we have to be. 

Or maybe you're the one acting like a child rather than a "teacher" or "parent" by causing an uproar such as this one. Fantastic example you have set a precedent for my friend.

While the leader of scipts always has some influence, Q and scripting are separate. That means they do not intertwine on policy making.
