I'm currently using some budget Seagate 1TB HDD in my new computer and it's working great so far.

I have used Seagtes for years, I have 2 500GB's to go with my SSD, and they are pretty good.

With laptops you have to make sure that the size of the drive is 2.5inch, thats all that really matters, and yeah looks good.

Yes its 2.5 I have measured it. So the differences in SATA between 3gbps and 6 don't matter?

Negligible mate, they're forwards and backwards compatible anyway, and you won't notice the speed difference.

Yeah it's not like consumer hard drives can saturate over 3Gbps of bandwidth

I'd look at longevity, if anything. I saw in some statistics that SeaGates are the harddrives that fail most often compared to the other big brands.

Everyone also hypes over Western Digital, but I've had a few of those fail randomly, as well. Friends have had the same experience with Western Digital, but stastically they're okay.

I'd also avoid Samsung HDDs. While their SSDs are great, their HDDs didn't last me long, either.

...As you can tell, I've had a few harddisks fail on me, new and used, but I actually still have a Hitachi DeskStar in my system which I've been using pretty much every day since 2008. Those are cheap and reliable, so I'd recommend them.

In the end any 2.5 inch drive you'll get will do. Whether or not it'll last you long largely comes down to luck. Performance isn't gonna be noticably different.

OK thanks a lot guys, I don't care about the speed I only worried if it would be compatible And I can only hope it won't die on me, I'm short on cash so I can't afford something expensive. Again thanks a lot. I will go and order the drive. Mods can lock this topic.

If I were you I would look for the cheapest 2,5' but with higher mb buffer and RPM...
It's true that Western Digital fails easily, 2 months ago it let me down on my Asus A52J.. Since then I replaced the disk with a Hitachi Travelstar 7K1000 1TB, which I bought for 50 euros.. and it's working like a charm.
