Maybe because it had nothing to do with Islam. Quite simple.

Maybe because it was a hatecrime towards LGBT-people and had nothing to do with Islam at all.

We'll never truly know. Sounds like the gunman himself was gay as he had been using the app Grindr and frequented the club himself.

My thoughts are with those involved.

He said islamist, not muslim. Islamism is indeed a large problem in the world. Quite simpler.

As for the victims...I'm not a LGBT supporter, quite the contrary, but human lives were lost and that's a tragedy.  May God be with the victims and their families.

People have to realize they can't put a nazi and a jew in the same room. It doesn't work. Same scenario here. The guy who shot down those in the nightclub was the son of a former presidental canditate from Afghanistan. A guy who supported Taliban. It is important that we do not avoid using the words radical islamists. We need to seperate bad from good. Avoiding doing so will create a hole in our eyes where we are unable seperate those two groups and we will also be unable to anticipate future terrorist attacks and put an end to ISIS.

Point is people defend Islamism with the whole "not religion's fault", when it's exactly religion that pushes the radical islamists to these actions. A normal muslim knows he believes in one of many religions and that he may or may not be right. An islamist is a muslim who despises other religions and believes Islam should be the world's only religion and the non-believers must be eliminated or enslaved. :)
