Hello there to all who reads this.
Most of the new players won't know me, most of the old players might not remember me.
I'd like to share with you, my journey in Argonath.
As a young and naive player (mind you I was only 13 years old when I joined), I stumbled upon this SAMP server called "Argonath RPG", that was on the 14th of August, 2009.
Curious as I was, I joined it, not knowing what to expect and hardly speaking any English.
Right away I was made welcome and guided into the server by a friendly man with the name Stanley Taylor.
He took me under his wing, and showed me the ins and outs of Argonath.
While I was getting used to the wonderful world of Argonath, I grew.. not only inside the game, but as a real person too.
I learned English, solely by playing here.
I got social contacts, I learned morals and discipline all in Argonath.
Over the course of years, I've seen many changes, I've seen highs and lows.. but I've never seen a family that hangs this close together, as all of Argonath combined.
The feeling I had from day one into the server, was that of friendship.. sure, there are a few bad apples trying to spoil the fun for everyone.. but Argonath always kept together, the community went through thick and thin.
Perhaps that is one of the main reasons the community is still around.. because no matter how far it may stretch, how many cracks might form, it will never break.
Fast forward to 2013, RS5.. A big, big change in Argonath, A lot of improvements.. improvements I never could get used to.
Being here from early RS4, I felt lost in RS5.. so I slowly but surely left the community.. Which was a mistake.
Being here, 4 years later, in 2017, I decided to visit Argonath once more.. and of course, who could doubt that, the community still was held together.. and it was something I did miss, I missed hanging around with my old friends, I missed having the fun in Argonath I used to have.. I missed all of you guys.
So here I am, having returned from my inactivity, thanking each and every one of you for making the server as it is today.
The players, the admins, the owners.. you name it.
None of us would be this far, if it weren't for you.
I thank you all, don't ever give up on your hopes and dreams, don't ever feel alone.. for there is a whole community standing behind you - Argonath RPG - A world of its own!
