[SA:MP] - Roleplaying Guide v2 -

Well to be honest I haven't seen anyone who've been thinking this guide is bad yet, except for Aragorn. Just search through the pages, and you'll see how it is. People ain't moaning more these days either, I'm pretty damn sure people did before too.
 The brains memory have always been memoring good memorys from the old times, non bad. I'm sure there was alot moaners back then, and It'll always be those. What have happend lately is that people know more about the rules and use them to their own sake. If anyone do one single mistake people moan about it and starts fights which is hour long. Meta Gaming, Power Gaming, Is both two very good "words" to keep in mind, whenever a roleplay situation.

People uses those 2 "words" like they are rules, but they ain't. It's just two very good "think about"- imaginary rules. OOC and IC.. Is two tools I really stand behind, I've actually stopped a few things I want to start because as soon as I RP the way I like to I get banned. I find this unacceptable and it's sad really. Argonath... Ain't it the free world where you don't have much rules? RP how you want, do what you want?

OOC and IC might be destroying devs vision but you'll have to understand that we'll always grow and OOC and IC might just be the new revolution of argonath? I'm also pretty sure Hayden ain't doing this to destroy argonath. You don't do 1 meter long topic just to make devs pissed. I've said it, and I'm  saying it again, he did this to share his experiences and I see nothing wrong in that.

I'm sorry Aragorn, but what do you really hate with OOC and IC? It's not rules, it's a tool to RP. I do understand Meta and Power - gaming though. They are both rules on many other servers and I can see why they won't me inserted. I can really agree on that this would make this server even more whiny that it have ever been. You asked for what OOC and IC is;

Me and Hayden is having a pull over situation. He have have reason to believe that I have drugs on me.

What you can't do here is /me finds drugs, as you can't know that, if you do that then it's totally unfair to me, as I might not have drugs on me. This is what people call powergaming or metagaming or whatever, not sure. But if he would have done /me Finds drugs there, then it would ruin the situation. We've had ALOT discussions about this and OOC really solves this. So what is really OOC good for?

This usually makes the situation better than it would if he did /me Finds drugs. I'm sure he would be even more whiny if he did this.
So after all, the OOC and IC is a great RP tool to make the RP funnier. In my opinion, the good parts takes out the bad parts, as without this, there have been even more moaning. I'm sure about that.

You can put your pretty sureness to some dark place... As before people were not moaning and THAT WAS what people liked on Argonath... Here come Hayden, Chill, others and start fucking up all Argonath fun "This is not roleplay as according to the latest shitty idea of other server which calls itself RPG there must be ((OOC)) and ((IC))... We have no fucking idea how it increases Roleplay, but we want also on Argonath this shit as it allows Argonath to be called the REAL SA:MP roleplay server"...

You have to learn the psychology, as humans brain remembers exactly THE BAD THINGS more then good ones, which actually are forgotten at once as soon as bad thing comes... And as you and others are moaning "Argonath was a way better" means that problem is NOT in Argonath developers or its ROLEPLAY STYLE, but problem is in those MOANERS and "ROLEPLAY SCRIPT KIDDIES" who are bringing a shit from incubator-servers...

You were banned on Argonath - if not for flame and cheats then for deathmatch... There are no other reasons and Argonath admins are the best in the whole SA:MP community, wanna you it or not...

Experience? Which one? Can you stop kissing Hayden's ass for a moment and fucking think about what exactly is talk about? OOC and IC - WHY the fuck you need this shit??? Thousands players were and still playing without this shit... What the fucking RPG revolution you bring here??? Who fucking died without this shitty OOC and IC? Have you fucking heard about Local chat which is exactly for roleplay??? Then go and read the commands of server...

I do want OUR players grow really serious and without those childish running after "others"... You should understand also and not take every shit, packed as candy, as a real candy... I do not like that other servers have no idea what is actually Roleplay and are bringing new rules and "tools", making boards, scripted boards, and classification "real roleplay"-"noobs roleplayers"...
I do not like that those who run after stupid ideas do not look at the things with reality... And instead of running after idiots "yeah yeah Argonath are noobs-roleplayers, cos they use local chat instead of ((IC)) should actually think what the fuck is difference...

You even not sure what you protect... In your case (dunno why you set /me command to the OOC and IC) I was talking about different /me usage... For those who think if they use /me - they are roleplayers... Such people will do bored your day fast enough:

I can repeat my position:

Do not like Argonath? Leave it, as Argonath was never the same as ALL SA:MP RPG servers...
And do not try even invent on our servers - we will NOT live by stupid laws which other servers owners bring as "roleplay standard" as we know very good what IS roleplay...
And much better then your OOC and IC creators...

Trust me - only your hearts and friendship can make roleplay better...

To add to Chill's example we recently got a complaint from a player who 'was abused'.
The reason, a cop was near him, sent a PM if he had drugs and then found and suspected him for it.
ABUSE!!!! He was asking OOC so he should not suspect me 

As you see, OOC and IC make things not more clear but less clear. It is for people who want to be able to hide their actions (oops I forgot OOC / It was IC not OOC) or who are too dumb to understand the difference. On servers where admins are too lazy to check out it is great, as they only have to act on flaming, swearing and whatever else if someone is stupid enough to use OOC chat for it...
