Do you know why that inflation has happened to the economy? Players farming beyond hundreds of thousands of dollars from smuggling vehicles and hunting ogras. The average criminal earns tens of thousands every day and you wonder why payphones charge 20 dollars instead of 10 cents? Think about it. Any lawful civilian does not pay any income tax whatsoever, apart from business owners who pay a small percentage due to the large amounts of tax evasion and money laundering that further damaging the economy. That small amount of tax you are paying goes towards government spending, and is spent towards the betterment of the city and for it's citizens. Seriously stop whining, the government has promised that once crime rates drop, the tax will also decrease so do your part for the city and join the VCPD if a lower tax is so very important to you.

If taxes are supposed to better the government, then make it true instead of making it just an easy argument to shut down people complaining about tax. I'll be brutally honest here.

I don't give a fuck about your cries over the tax, it's a system that does exactly what it was implemented to do. The initial 5% was because axxo went full retard while scripting it and then refused to change it (thank god we now have fuzzie).

The current tax numbers are expected to stay and increase linearly with the amount of tears the script provides.

Klaus has said that once crime rates go down, we're willing to decrease the tax. I'm personally willing to decrease tax on the account that players actually obey the rules and do some proper roleplaying instead of thinking this is a glorified deathmatch server.

It's in your hands, the players, to make the change you want to see.

Stop complaining about your own decisions to us.

You should have played here around 2012-2014 if you wanted to see a truely "shit VCPD". Current VCPD is made up of the most active and dedicated officers compared to teams before it. So once again, do not talk smack if you've no idea what you're talking about. Pretty much almost every active officer is currently part of the VCPD. We literally hardly have any freecops. Do you even comprehend how much sense do your statements make?

I can't wrap my head around whether this community is plain stupid or just choose to be ignorant if they fail to see what the tax is here for. It is to make criminal life less advantegous and introduce a consequence for illegit source of income. Those with legit source of income have their money paid to them straight to their bank accounts, meaning they do not ever need to worry about tax. It is only those who gain cash in hand from jobs such as vehicle smuggling, yacht smuggling and otherwise financially rewarding criminal jobs that get taxed. And even that can be avoided by storing money in your property instead of the bank. Then ofcourse - it introduces the risk of loosing your money if the police ever raid your property due to tax evasion.

So basically it balances things out. The criminal side is already ridiculously advantegous over other legal jobs, especially the one of the cop. Therefore, as a crack down against crime, the implied government introduces a tax that depends on general player attitude, crime statistics and so on. It has been proven more than once that every time you whine and moan about it, it will only increase.

I think this topic should be simply closed. Was very quickly turned into a shitfest by certain individuals whose entire history in this server so far can be summarised by being bunch of smack talking annoying trolls.
