The Peoples' Declaration of Sovereignty
I. Regarding External Nations and ForcesWe, the
Free Peoples of the Sands formally known as the
Nomads of Carson, extend our hospitality to all neighboring communities and Nations, as we have always done. We acknowledge our common heritage and ancestry to the Almighty Swedes, and to our beloved
Sauron. We declare the entirety of
Argonath as the common thread that binds us all, the source of our Genesis and our sacred inheritance. Since the earliest of days, we have pledged to sustain and preserve
Argonath for all generations to come. Only through interacting with each other with truthful wisdom and honest justice shall we ever attain these goals.
II. Our Fundamental Inalienable RightsWe regard the need for freedom to be universal. Therefore, we hold that all individuals in all sects are created equal and are endowed with sacred and inalienable rights. Classically, this has been defined and upheld by the
Constitution of the United States of Argonath. Fundamental among this is the right to life, the right of self-determination, self-sufficiency, and creative expression. This includes the right to life without oppression, and the right to pursue in life a higher purpose and a higher calling that has been provided to all in the form of opportunity.
Art. IX: Any citizen has the right to move inside Argonath and to establish his house anywhere in the United State of Argonath.
Art. X: Everyone has the right to life, liberty and safety of their person.
We have established our
House within the borders of
Argonath. We claim the discarded, scorched sands for our floor and carpets. We claim the bird-less, smoggy skies as our roofs and ceilings. We claim the polluted rivers and oceans to be our walls.
We have remained vigilant as the structure of the Government has imploded upon itself, suffocating those Officials caught unaware. As such, oppression has become rampant. The pursuit of liberty has become a grind for cash that can never buy enough as inflation over saturates markets without proper demand. Prices are at all time highs, while paychecks are at all time lows, forcing regular civilians into crime just to make ends meet. The Court Systems overflow with untended, simple patent requests, making such Courts ineffective and obsolete for greater issues and concerns. Greed, disloyalty, mistrust; all abundant signs that now is the appropriate time for action.
III. Invocation of RightsFor all to witness, we do now invoke these fundamental rights for ourselves, our neighbors, and for anyone who would wish to reside among us, pass by, or otherwise trade, deal or peddle within our
Sacred Home; including the natural rights derived:
- The Right of Sovereignty- We shall become self-governed and independent, neither subject to nor dependent upon any other authority. No external force shall contravene or abrogate the sovereignty of our shared Homeland.
- The Right of Sanctity- We shall become free from external intervention, intrusion, interference, or exploitation, both mental and physical. No force shall make close approach, or engage in trade, except openly and with the expressed consent of the Peoples of the Sands achieved through a democratic means.
- The Right of Occupation- As the native People of the Sands, we claim this region separated by the waters as our Sphere of Influence, from the West known as Bayside to the East known as Las Venturas. To the North known as Las Payasadas and to South known by Fort Carson.
- The Right of Peaceful Navigation- We claim the right to travel and explore within our Sphere without interference or restraint.
We, the
Peoples of the Sands, consider it our rightful responsibility to assert and defend these fundamental rights, and to give and receive aid consistent with these rights. In the case of any dispute, the burden of proof of innocence shall fall on those who are not native to
the Sands.
IV. Demands and DeclarationsAs all were promised these things in the
Constitution, and yet none have received these rights; be it due to apathy, inactivity, otherworldly obligations, or malicious intent; we hereby make the following demands and declarations:
- We demand immediate recognition as a free nation known henceforth as Bone Country
- We declare autonomy and self sufficiency, and ability to elect our own people-chosen leaders
- We demand those from Los Santos and San Fierro stop abducting our people at once and return those imprisoned
- We declare the ARD as corruption and blasphemy, with Gems as our National Currency within our Sphere
Should the
Supreme Authority (
@Gandalf ) remain voiceless and choose to ignore these Demands and fail to recognize these Declarations, our first course of action shall be to
immediately and effectively halt all production of fuel at the
Octane Springs Refinery so every last motor vehicle fuel tank consumes its last bit of fuel and fumes remaining and sputters to a halt until our Demands are met and Declarations recognized.
Should our Demands be met and Declarations recognized in a timely manner, we are willing to negotiate the size of our Sphere of Influence, offering all West of
Sherman Dam to the
free peoples of
San Fierro and all East of
Hunters' Quarry to the
free peoples of
Los Santos.
V. Electoral RequirementsThe
Peoples of the Sands shall hold formal elections for leadership roles and guidance, as determined by those living within our Sphere of Influence. To be considered a
Peoples' Choice, a candidate must meet or exceed the following standards:
- Citizenship within Argonath of at least six (6) months
- A resident of one or more of the following cities for at least one (1) month:
- Bayside
- El Quebrados
- Las Barrancas
- Las Payasadas
- Fort Carson
- Las Venturas
- No recent major punishments/rulebreaks
- A minimum of 5 endorsements by other players
