Hopefully it will work, it can cause the opposite affect as well and people will just grind more.
Don't forget people are grinding meth not because it's giving good money they were grinding for money properties vehicles and what ever even if you lower meth to under trucking people will just grind trucking like they used to. grinding will exist regardless of paycheck some people will just keep going towards a different direction  then roleplay. only time will tell what's the actual impact of this will be.

Paycheck won't make the change, if people were here to roleplay it'd been better for them that meth would be giving outrageous money amounts. since they'd get a car a property and then that's it time to RP faster route to basic stuff will lead to RP but the broken thing in the server is the mentality to fix RP not the cash. of course server economics are broken but I doubt RP improvements will be the impact.

You can get more than 30g per cook and weed amount reduced too

Meth and weed black market prices went down to 40 around that field, and you can cook only up to 30 grams a batch meth wise. and weed wise collect 2 grams per plant.

Well the past year and half haven't been great for us criminals at all...first, weapon crafting, then drug prices nerf, then weapon prices go sky high, then only reco+ groups get access to drug market and only group owners can buy weed seeds aaand now another BIG drug nerfs. (heroin got nerfed HEROIN, what has heroin done to you people@!)
 
So my opinion of this update, is that it won't change much, as long as people can cook they will, because they don't have any reason to do anything else. I should've jumped in the mind of a 24/7 meth cooker and think "What would he do if the prices go lower?" Spoiler: He will keep cooking, so he can earn money and buy stuff. He will not go RP, because he won't feel RICH enough for the RP

if they reduced the production they have to reduce time for cooking meth
