This idea striked me when I have had frequent cases of people camping to kill when I was afk inside the FBI HQ to make the collected evidence invalid. And trying to interrupt interrogations.

In my opinion, only permitted entities should be allowed to /enter the FBI HQ. Relating this to real life, can anyone just enter a police department or breach inside? No, they can't. Just a bunch of people can't take out the immense security at these kind of buildings. Also applicable to police departments.

Or something like /lock which an official can execute whenever needed.

I'm fine with this but then there should also be ways for "civilians" to gain access to the building through fake FBI licenses or any other RP way such as power outage and faking a big situation being under way.

FBI Agents just collecting evidence and run to their "hideout" as soon as possible is pretty lame because for example a criminal locking their property doesn't keep the cops out, regardless of them having a warrant or not.

Yes you're FBI, but you're not untouchable.

Ohhh so you're saying you're hurt, pansy? It's just a few holes, tough it out.

Quite honestly, I'm against this idea.

It takes away roleplay possibilities and just adds unfair advantage to the FBI.

I would, instead, (originally suggested by fuzzie) add a script that you can use to "upload evidence" after which even if you die the evidence could be used by another FBI member.

Could make it sort of like regular confiscation of packs, just go to a blip at WBPD for VCPD, and maybe add a blip at the FBI HQ.

And there should be a timer, as it takes time to upload evidence.

If this idea is to be implemented then we need something to balance it out. Either what the others have suggested or a script that allows criminals better chances to escape.

But uploading evidence should take like much time since internet was slow back in 1980's.

In the 80s, Commodore 64s, PETs, Apple IIs and others barely had any internet capability. Commodores had 300 baud modems, but then it's the 1989 RP scene, so MS-DOS and Windows 3.1 would be around.

Uploading evidence doesn't have to be over the internet, it could be stored in a file cabinet or a safe.

Still slow, 1 second upload is ridiculous?
