FBI and VCPD go after Ogra sellers because the species itself is endangered and fishing it is against the constitution of Vice City.
What Mac's said is totally correct. Come on guys, grinding VIRTUAL cash is not the point of Argonath RPG. The law enforcers/feds/NOOSE operatives in IVMP, the law enforcers/feds in VCMP, they may/may not earn that much, but they do roleplay and their roleplay makes up the backbone of the cops side of roleplay. This is one good reason the criminals have opportunities to initiate roleplay, as they notice the cops are willing to engage, so they engage too. This is the atmosphere of VCMP, and every family/VCPD Officer/FBI Agent/ARPD Officer wants to roleplay due to the structured environment in which we play, and mostly the initiative taken by the players.
The lack of initiative from the players is what I believe is downfalling SAMP and IVMP's roleplay, though I may not know the full story.
Though, without naming names, I've actually heard someone from a high post in an official organization blame the IV-Leadership for making IVMP T4 on the EFLC game instead of continuing it on GTA IV. I was actually very surprised, that the player in question refused to even try and take initiative, but rather sit and blame, hoping others will start to roleplay rather than making the foundations of roleplay himself, by roleplaying with the members of his organization and with the other players on the server.
Just because less people play due to the conversion from T3 to T4, is not a reason to blame the IV-Leadership, but an opportunity for you to CONTRIBUTE and possibly even be recognized for it. If you want recognition for your roleplay, take initiative.
Moving on, rather than just demanding the old system, like back in badboydhia's topic, for instance, just roleplay. Fishing is a light job that's not meant to be an income grinder. I feel that its meant to encourage roleplay and relax, being out on the seas, rather than being a direct source of income. LCPD have boats now too, so you can roleplay on the water, whether it be drug smugglings into the city, or exporting species out to other countries via an illegal deal. Either way, fishing is just to relax, in my opinion.
In regards to the idea itself, I haven't fished in IVMP since the new system, I won't comment a supported or an unsupported, due to my lack of knowledge about the system.
