What about the : if 5 arpd or more are connected, free cops can't use regular police cars and would have to deal with the caddies ? But actualy, a free cop is more like a security agent, so I would say : pepper spray, nightstick and shotgun, nothing else. And with the shotgun, only 10 shots so they can defend, it's not too lethal except if they are very close, it's not as fast as the deagle. And if they want to do a chase, they can use regular civil cars ...

Another solution would be the require a special law license to be allowed to use cop skin. You go to cityhall admins or police chief, they ask 5 or 10 questions, if they judge you are good enough, you receive a license so u can play as a free cop, you don't have to join SAPD if u get the license but you need to license to get in SAPD. It just make so that no random dude can come, play for 2 days, be a cop and abuse.

Maybe license can give you access to the cop cars and we keep Rob idea. I mean, you want to be a free cop ? So ur a security agent, dont have access to pd cars, only to caddies. If u get the law license, u can be a free cop and have access to pd cars. The license can be removed if u abuse or don't respect SAPD priority on cars.

Or we could give them the Elegants, Wich are the Base models for the SAPD cars, not as fast or as powerful as them, Personally ive been thinking and the Whole free cop should jsut be downgraded to security, give them elegants and Caddys, a shotgun, Pepperspray, nightstick, and maybe 9mm without shotgun, So that way it cuts abck on Abuse, They cant suspect but still have authority to issue tickets, and catch suspects

My way works the best, because it gives freecops/cadets somthing to work for, to be in SAPD.
Just because cadets cant chase you in caddys, dosnt mean they wont chase you in the cars they drove to work in.
Cadets, are by far the most scariest players - why?
17 golf carts chasing you, when your on foot isnt scary!?
and then shooting you with shotgun/pistol

:ps: I agree, maybe Shotgun with 20 shots + 9mm handgun as an arsenal for free cop | Shotgun + deagle= for aRPD cadets | Shotgun + Mac10 + Deagle for officers as firearms

I heartily endorse Jaaskaa's "Law Licence" idea. This would instantly solve the problem of new player abuse and people who like playing as Cop but actually want to use the Business Scripts or be in the gangs (which are a key component of this server).

These are things you can't do as ARPD, for some reason, but I now and again I might be a Cop - because I was for so long when the ARPD didn't own the rest of the Cops back in 0.2.1.
I don't want to have to drive a Golf Car and shoot Foam Balls at Criminals.

That is a silly idea about free cops only being able to drive Caddys, they will never get any money and criminals will just laugh in their face and kill them.

Many free cops are good enough to do RP, just a few are inhibited in the area of seeing this a RPG server, not a DM server!!

I'm starting to think this a silly idea too.
Cadets should be ARPD trial members, you go to a captain ask for a license to be on trial, if you are a good cop, you become ARPD, if not, you get expelled from the force and can never be cadet anymore.
After all, thats what cadet means isn't it?

No, actually in my opinion the shotgun is possibly the worst gun in the game, after the 9mms. They only have one shot at a time and do the same damage as the slap round the face.

Because that would look completely ridiculous, and there would be an excess of Cop cars then and not enough Civilian Cars.

In my opinion, this is just another idea to help the ARPD and detriment everybody else. And we have enough of those, already.

Also true It seemed a good idea at start cause cop number would decrease but, it does give one more advantage to ARPD cops.
And I still dunno why ARPD cops have Mac-10's, it's totally unrealistic and a stupid advantage.
Not even in VC:MP cops have them and in VC:MP drive by is as legal as normal shooting.

Don't be like that Hayden, a forum is made to discuss, thats what we are doing discussing the idea to reach conclusions together.
As I said several times, the server is made for the players in general, not just for one group.

You all complain about no scripts for criminals - what scripts do you need to RP a criminal?
You rob places, you rob people, you shoot them you run, you shoot cops, turn the disc over, repeat.

To make it more economical for the server, abuse + deathmatching down.

Dont like it that cops have Micro SMG's? - take the time you whine about one group, look at yourself, you got boats, helis, bikes, fast cars, guns, to run & hide & fight with.
You cant go and buy a cheap ass SMG out of ammunation and fight back?

Make a post, and show the developers why the SMG's should be taken away from ARPD - then come back and complain on my idea.

Actually, the /rob scripted is totally bugged. In 500 attempts to rob, I only manage it once.
And the /picklock doesn't work either.

So there is no detail in criminal scripts at all, they are forgotten on a corner catching spider webs.

And I have no free guns nor vehicles and once suspected is almost certain that you will loose 500$.

So you are the one over whining about criminals. The richest server players are cops.

ON TOPIC: Jaskaa and you are cops, so of course it sounds good, less people for you to share criminals with. Thats called GREED!!!!!

Cause i know certain people.
Cause i do jobs when im asked.
Cause i dont sit there and kill cops all day.
Cause i do things for the community and get paid by the person asking me

I got paid four thousand dollars by some new person, to clean LSPD when it had 23 cars in front with my towtruck.


Off topic: Everyone, when is the last time you have seen me be a cop? about 3 months ago, and that 3 months, was when i wanted in ARPD, right?
