Best game was Pokemon Gold/Silver limited edition on the Gameboy Colour. Hours of fun.
The TV series got too repetative.

"sigh" i downloaded the boy advance player and i played pokemon emerald i was bored ok! i downloaded a saved game all monsters were caught lvl 101 all shiny - shiny means they come in different colors exmaple : pikachu was gold , mewto was red , waubafet was pink balubarsore was purple etc..... shiny pokemon are 1 in 1824 chance. meaning you need to fight 1824 monsters to have a chance at catching a shiny. and having all of them is halarious! imagine the luck you need for a rare one... you need the odd luck of having it become shiny AND catching it as i know when we try to get rares we reset the gameboy many many many times - game got boring after i noticed i was the best player and all my friends could not beat me

i loved the rare pokemon sounds , until i grew up and learned the sounds were of japanese men swearing in their cuontry reversing it and lowering the pitch
