I have finally decided it's time to bin my PS2, I am going to get an Xbox 360 next week hopefully. Could you tell me a little about them and what can go wrong with them... Stuff like that because I'm a little worried, I'll be buying one of eBay and I heared Xboxes get the 3 lights of death quite AKA ring of fire a lot. I'm not sure if I should risk it.

There is a lot of speculation about the red ring of death, I haven't encountered it yet, but I am prepared.


The online gaming is excellent, good communication, graphics and so on.

you can only risk something on ebay, when you don't buy at shops. Never buy such electronic things from normal guys. Go to the trusted shops and bet or buy at once there.

Yeah I saw a good deal on Amazon £230. I can afford that. I just purchased my new bike so I don't have much cash.

I had the 'ring of death' i shipped it to MS and it works now , but is still prone to crash , I have however heard they fixed a lot of problems with the later versions ( I bought one in the first few months) But i hear PS3 is more stable , better graphics (and more $$ ofc)

Bottom line Its not bad but not the best; if you buy one make sure its not one of the first versions (so dont buy second hand) > MS did however tripple the warantee period (wel they were forced because its a known fact that they would crash /brake down)

Well i have an xbox 360,,,,Its awesome and has the very good games...U can Pimp your xbox too with diferent colours ....


Dont buy a playstation ...Its too expensive and Xbox 360 got better graphics .....

I like PS3 more,  free online, easy playing, wireless controlers, ect ect ect..

3RDoD ( 3 red lights of doom) is aload of ballocks, i've got it 10 tiomes, and nothing, it is just a way of turning the Xbox off when it gets too hot, ye it can still happen, spend 14.99 in GAME and get a cooling fan.

Red Circle of Doom is a "Hardware Error", which is doom.

So the console has to be sat horizontal like the PS2? The old PS2 scratched disks when vertical to.

BTW HD DVD died yesterday. And 360 is falling down with it.
Better go for the PS3 if you want to see vids on it.
And money is no excuse cause they cost the same now.

Infrared isn't quite wireless. If "someone" put her hand on front of your controler, you get signal blocked.
