Groups Review and Reorganization (July 15 - August 15, 2021)

As outlined in #3 of our 5-Point Agenda, the SA:MP HQ/Staff Team will be conducting the first Quarterly Review of all current Groups on the server. We will decide whether to award them Recognized status, to remove their scripted /group for inactivity, or if no changes are to be made.

This month-long Quarterly Review will take place from July 15 to August 15, 2021. The HQ and Staff Team will monitor Groups through both in-game and on the forum to see if their activity and interaction are consistent with the standards we set for Groups to get script support ingame. For now, we will evaluate Groups on their performance so far (especially during this Review period), while future Quarterly Reviews (also lasting a month) will evaluate groups over the previous three months.

We will be using the following Review Criteria:

• Quantity: Is the group active in-game and on the forum? Are its leaders/members actually present, just chatting on forums/discord, and/or completely absent altogether?
• Quality: How does the group interact with each other and other players? Are they actively RPing (as a group), or just grinding and/or using the group to stash assets?
• Impact: What effect does the group currently have on the Argonath SA:MP community? Is it a positive impact, a negative one, or none at all?

Depending on their activity, Groups will receive one of the follow Outcomes:

• Recognized Status: Groups that make a positive impact on the server will be awarded Recognized status, which comes with perks such as additional vehicles, custom mapping, and possibly other rewards depending on player input. Recognized criminal groups will receive bigger drug contracts.
• No Changes: Groups that do not meet the standards for Recognized but are not inactive enough for Removal will continue as they were until the next review period.
• Removal: Groups that fail to show activity will have their /group removed ingame, along with all vehicles and cash in the group bank. Any removed assets are non-refundable, and a Group will have to work for them again even if they regain a scripted /group in the future.
• Restructure: This is mainly for Official Services, meaning both law enforcement and civilian government agencies. Services whose leaders do not maintain activity will either have their leadership posts opened to applications by interested players, or removed altogether, depending on the need for them.

For this review, Clans which are considered Official in the Argonath RPG community will not be included, not only in light of their legacy, but mainly because we are still early on in the process. HQ will, however, be discussing what to do with inactive Official Clans in future Quarterly Reviews. Added on August 4, 2021

The Way Forward: A Proper Group Management System

We in the HQ, together with active Groups, will work towards building a proper Group Management system that will serve to reward Groups, address Group concerns, regulate Group activity, and be an avenue for Groups to closely engage/collaborate with the HQ/Staff Team.

You are welcome to post your suggestions for Group Management as a reply to this topic, in the #samp-ideas channel on the Argonath Discord, in the SA:MP Suggestions forum board, or in a PM to myself.


Again, the Quarterly Review will take place from July 15 to August 15, 2021. Groups have this period to show activity in-game AND on the forum. We will engage/support active Groups and remove inactive ones.

The Review Period has ended and HQ/Staff will be assessing Normal Groups to see who will be Recognized, who will be Removed, and who will stay as they are until the next Review.

1st Quarterly Groups Review Results

The 1st Quarterly Groups Review has concluded. We are announcing the following changes based on the activity of groups during the Review Period spanning last month.

The following Groups are now Recognized! We would like to congratulate them for the hard work and creative RP they have put in. Keep up the good work and activity!

• FLA (Flint Liberation Army)
• SanTV (San Andreas Television)

The following Groups are Warned (but NOT removed) for lack of activity, attitude, and/or proper RP interaction. Some of them were recommended for Removal, but HQ has decided to give them another chance. If they do not meet their recommendations as listed below by the next Quarterly Review in October-November, they might lose their in-game /groups as well.

• AoD (Angels of Death Motorcycle Club)
  RPs are good and creative, but activity has really lowered recently and the group is not seen on server.
• Casalesi (The Casalesi Family)
  The group leader does not RP at all and only comes online to gamble and pay taxes, members have developed a reputation for focusing on money-grinding and not on RP/quality interaction. We do acknowledge the effort of the group to stay alive by bringing in new members, and for this sole reason we are giving Casalesi another chance to improve in terms of RP/quality of interaction.
• LoscoInc (Losco Incorporated)
  This business, formerly Easterboard, has been active for a long time, but not active at all recently.
• VLA (Varrios Los Aztecas)
  Made a brief return in July only for group leaders to threaten to leave the server (again). A few members still visit, and it is for this sole reason we are giving VLA one final chance to fix their activity and attitude problems

The following Groups are Removed in-game; their in-game group vehicles and group assets will be removed as well. They may regain a /group in the future if they return to activity and meet the requirements. We thank you for your past contributions.

• Ancelotti (La Famiglia di Ancelotti) — Group closed.
• CMB (Citizenship and Migration Board) — Group closed.
• CFarming (Casalesi Farming) — No more farm, group obsolete.
• Gvardia (The Gvardia Family) — Inactive; a few members visit occasionally, but there has been no activity as a group for a long time.
• Joestars (The Joestars Family) — Inactive; one or two members still visit occasionally, but there has been no activity as a group for a long time, and all of the activity from the member list comes from "Friends and Associates."
• LCL (LCL Gem Exchange) — Total inactivity.
• Luciano (The Luciano Family) — Total inactivity.
• NBA (National Ballas Association) — Total inactivity.
• Sforza (The Sforza Family) — Total inactivity.
• Soprano (The Soprano Family) — Total inactivity.
• Zaime (Zaime Organization) — Members visit, but zero RP as a group.

Current Official groups Svensson, TeaM, [TCL] and [WS] have until September 15 to improve their activity, or be archived as Legacy Groups; these will still be listed in-game in memory of their past contributions, but will not be able to use any group features or assets.

For State Services, we continue to support active ones and restructure where needed.

All other groups will remain as they are until the next Review Period in October. Improve on your activity, and you may just be among the next wave of Recognized Groups!

1st Quarterly Groups Review: End of Extended Deadline

The extended Sep. 15 deadline for Official Groups has passed, and groups Svensson, [TCL], TeaM, and [WS] have all not returned to activity. As a result, their in-game assets (including HQs) will be lost along with their Official status, which to date has only remained in SA:MP. All of their former Group HQs have also been privatized as house properties.

However, in recognition and memory of their contributions to Argonath as old Official groups, their in-game /group will be archived, rather than removed. The scripted group itself will remain along with its member list, although unable to add any new members nor add/use assets, being in effect 'frozen' as a museum to these groups. Their /groups may only be un-archived if the old official group concerned returns to meet activity standards required of all current groups.

We sincerely thank you for the legacies you left as groups that played a big part in building Argonath over the years.

Finally, the 2nd Quarterly Groups Review should start around October or November.
