1) How will we proceed with our RP vision and communication methods?We are most likely going to be going full voice ingame with no text box for general chat. The ingame experience will be fully RP - no OOC whilst ingame - and the intention is that basically everything anyone needs is ingame, with discord to compliment with non-RP, support and admin side. We've seen this work well with most modern servers and it's really the only way we can future proof the server. A small part of the community will be disappointed, but the dream will be to be a successful server and provide a platform casual players and also streamers who can advertise and generate content to build the community. We must accept that the small community we have is not representative of the wider GTA RP community which we will be tapping into. We are using a certain Twitch-famous RP server as the gold standard model.
2) Will I be able to transfer assets from the RAGE V:MP server?We have already taken steps to track players current assets from RAGE. We will definitely have a transfer of assets and conversion of money at the very least to give our veteran supporters a head start.
Money - conversion rate will be decided based on the economy nearer the time of release.
Properties - previous owners, groups, admins and trusted veterans will have the ability to take out a government loan to buy equivalent properties in the new server so they can claim it first. E.g. Ammunation owner in RAGE will have priority to purchase the same business with a government loan which will be paid back over certain time periods so they can run the business from the start. This will require require some minimum activity or the loan will default and more active players will have the chance to own the business.
Veteran groups will also be given this opportunity even if they didn't own anything before as long as it fits the theme of their group.
For example:
Italian Mafia may be given a government loan to buy an Italian restaurant at the start
Potato Farmer group may have the opportunity to buy land and warehouses for farming.
In terms of drugs – not sure if there will be a direct conversion. There will be a progression system in farming so drugs in RAGE might be converted to farming experience/ levels. Those with lots of drugs in RAGE will be able to have big advantages in growing and processing drugs at the start (after all they have the experience!)
Important note: We already have a "screenshot" of the database of player assets taken soon after the server became inactive. If you go on the RAGE:MP to grind or purchase property now whilst the server is inactive it will not count towards the new server progression.
3) What will the major features be in v1?Faction system with the tools to grow and manage your business, properties, payrolls, inventories, access to doors and properties, access to special inventories, and vehicles. Set up different roles with permissions for all of the above. In this system business groups and criminal groups will have the same faction controls as government groups giving you incredible freedom.
Unique and realistic economy driven by raw materials, crafting, trading and interaction with players. We are giving options for the grinders out there with progression systems and giving options for new players. We are focusing the scripts to encourage teamwork, player trading and interaction to be the most profitable. Considerable effort is going into the transport system and supply chain for each business. All items will have a purpose and have value to drive the demand. All jobs should have purpose and an impact on the world around you…
Of course there will be other more generic features expected of an RP server: progression levels that reward you as you go, survival mechanisms, IC social media that works in-game and out etc…

5) Are we allowed to discuss other communities or servers?Our development is going to take time, but we are confident that we are going to create a server that will stand out. We are a small community and we appreciate how incredibly patient you have been in supporting us.
I will personally encourage you to explore other servers and communities in the meantime – give the voice only servers a go (it’s scary, I know), hang out with friends you made in Argo, and if you find any ideas or cool features you’d like to see – share it with us!
We aren’t going to shut down discussions. We love to hear ideas and constructive criticism and share your enthusiasm for GTAV RP in general. We are also following streamers on twitch in the wider community to see good examples of modern RP servers and assess what they are doing right… and what we can do better!
Discussions are acceptable but blatant advertising (spam) will be removed.
6) How will police work?Police work will be more realistic (i.e. more difficult, actually have to do work). We have scripts to support CSI, manage police activities (MDC’s), and build cases against players. Perhaps it might be a bit more difficult than the past with no orange dots (although it’s likely NPC will be helping report crime in urban areas), but whilst it may be more difficult, the impact and rewards will be greater. There will be great flexibility on how to deal with criminals, or be a criminal, but also enough resources for faction leaders and government agencies through the factions system to keep track. Feel free to ask more if you have specific scenarios in mind. We will give you the freedom and the tools, but it will be up to the players to use their imagination and RP to make the most of it!
How will the admin system work with voice chat?We've seen in other comjmunities that they require screen capture video evidence for certain situations. Screen capture is also widely used as an RP tool to mimic dash cams, body cams etc.
There will likely be a discord waiting room where admins will pull you in to private channels to address your issues as they appear. This will keep in-line with our vision of a fully immersive RP experience ingame where OOC is settled externally.
In addition we have more advanced admin tools to deal with ingame conflicts. We will help provide resources for screen capturing software so it isn't too difficult to adapt nearer the launch.
When will the server be released?Unfortunately we are not in a position to give a date as we are still deep in development of the core features for our v1 release. We have made some dramatic progress recently and have a solid framework in place. We are hopeful that alpha testing of our core features will commence by the end of the year.
