Hello,

I am custom building a Desktop, and I wanted to have your opinion on these specifications:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66GHZ / 4MB Cache

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Motherboard

Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200RPM/16MB

Corsair DDR2 2GB PC 5300/677

Cooler Master RC-690 Black Tower Case

Asus EN8800GT - HTDP-612 GF8800GT 512MB

Samsung 22 inch Flatscreen Monitor

All comments are welcome, and for the price I am paying for it, I am quite satisfied.

Regards,
Lionz

Seems to be a strong computer;

You have the Duo Core 2.66 GHz, thats pretty strong.
You have a 320 GB harddisk and WITH 7200 rounds per minute (thats important, 5400 is too slow)
I haven't tried a graphic card like that, but with 512 MB it should be good enough.
22 inch flatscreen is nice too, just remember to keep a small distance or you will mess up your eyes.
Motherboard seems nice too, since it can handle these properties.

All in all I would say its a pretty nice computer, and I think it would run most games smooth.

Things that are bolded I will comment on. First of all Intel, Personally Im a AMD man myself but depending on what you want to do with your computer its youyr choice. 2ndly the Motherboard Try going for a S4 motherboard with SLI capability if at all possible :P. That computer has pretty much the same specs as mine (Except my motherboard is slightly better :P) So Im sure it will run perfectly fine as long as you dont drift into Vista lol.

Very nice Lionz, I would configure it about the same :)

The only things I could think of changing is a better CPU and maybe an Asus motherboard, but that would be more expensive.

ugh.. dont buy an 8 series card. this topic is in the wrong section too.

Lionz -> http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=11515.0

RAM is a bit slow.. now that DDR3 is comming out. i would uy PC26400 RAM if your going to use DDR2 (I use PC26400)

HDD is average with the RPM, good capacity :)

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, is not for gaming. (No SLI)

(little hint, 9800 graphic card is beign released this month, 9600 already has. 9600 is rated 90% faster then the 8600. there should be atleast 50% incrase in performance 8800 vs. 9800.)

and whats the model of the monitor?
