GTA shuts down......

Hi im new to this forum but not new to the MTA server but im having a problem..... my GTA is shutting down and blue screen usaly appears and i thought it only happend when i playd MTA but it happens when i play orginal san andreas too so i need some help how i can fix it, i think my computer going to die if this keeps going... and im running Vista but had the same problem with XP. plz help il  :bow: for help  :help:

ok first of all try to remove file gta_sa.set located in C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

start single player, if not try reinstaling game..

third, did u download and instaled new driver(if u got nvidia grafic card)?

It happend to me too on my XP pc, it was cause I was using a RAM DAC gfx card

ive got one of the newest grapgics card and its updated, and i have reinstalled it some times but i will try delete that file you mentioned

first try to remove that file if its not working get one older driver.... ive seen people having trouble with newest drivers..

so that could be the problem.... aw il just play the game just as it is, gona search for SA:MP and play argonath on that, my computer wont search for servers on the games so can anyone send IP adress for the server on SA:MP

How do i change Nick in the game and when i get in i cant do anything, il just go in server and it says badnick name...

Dont use in name chars like

!@#$%^&*()<>,.

Samp wont allow em... Thats why clan[R*] uses [Rstar]

lol! not /nick or /nickname, if you want to change the nick, it's /changename

Example: /changename Stupid

BUT THEN in the client you need to put the same nick that you putted at /changename, in this case is Stupid.

EDIT: Oh, and also, if in SA happears Blue Screen, test other games you have. If blue screen happears and does not start the game, the only thing you can do is FORMAT your PC, that's right, format. Because I also got that problem, and "I" (actually me and my brother did) needed to format the PC.

the blue screen happens only for GTA, thew other games works perfectly, but thx for the command now, now il gona try SA:MP
