Dot not read certain parts or just the brim of it and comment. It will be obvious and you will look like a complete tool. Never has there been such a low approval rate for the Argonath Police Department. As every time I login I say hello to my friendly admins, my helpful friends and my brave police officers. Yet the problem lies between them. As I’m writing this, there is a mass grouping and chaos around Los Santos provoked by 5 people who completely hate us, why you ask? Because some cadet had suspected them for not walking on the sidewalk , breathing to much air , or wearing a red shirt. Yes the life of these people is quite hard . I’m not the kind who sill shun them and call them idiots, nor will I flame them any other way yet there has to be something done. As every time I login I always see the one suspect who will flame the police for their actions. ARPD officers never get flamed upon as we know what we do. We spent at least 1-2 months free cop and trained for 2 weeks. We know what happens but this loophole strikes back. As cadets follow the shoot first think later , cops lose our value to role-play. That’s right some are even quitting. But why? They are proud officers you roar! Because we cannot do anything. We can chase a suspect for 30 minutes only to find a cadet shot him the instant he stopped his car. Sure we can tell him not to do it but what’s more important for them? The $500 or the moral ethic.
Now from reading this It would sound like I’m flaming them and not supporting. That is very wrong my good friend. Flaming has done nothing other than cause a uproar which ends in the funny yet very un appealing disses which end in a admin warn slapping them. The answer is not to flame them but to provide a solution. Your either part of the solution or you’re the problem.
I want to thank all the police officers for their current efforts of teaching some of the cadets as I’m sure it did help. And a very big thanks to them indeed.
Now what happens when there are so many cadets? Role-playing decreases and the server turns to C & R. People think cops is the only way to earn money when I could earn a million by a twist of a finger. With so many cops, some can only help themselves to suspect and kill a afk person and hope to disappear before the person notices. And yes I’ve seen it be done. I logged onto LSPD and found myself suspected for not following cop orders, I was afk for 4 minutes because my cat got stuck under my car again , it’s a warn interior I wont blame her.
The biggest loss of so many cadets is the loss of players, players take it on as a chaos riddled server and leave where we could lose many good role-players. Our server is different from any other we provide different methods, we do not script hunt and open a server we are independent and now were fighting a war. Cadets are shooing away many players and its getting depressing.
We need to fix this its costing us so much! Cops cant work as half the population is roaming, want to play a fun experiment? Suspect a single person in front of lspd and see how many guns are drawn to their faces. I saw someone get suspected for parking their car slightly on the road and I saw 7 cadets running outside of their vehicles from any 10 mile radius only to point a gun at him SHOUT SURRENDER and shoot them right after. Because people have super reflexes and can surrender super fast yeah awesome!
We need a way to limit THAT’S RIGHT Limit the amount of free cops. ARPD is unlimited as we do the city good but there has to be a way of fixing the cadet problem. When people log on the first thing they do is not read the rules but ask , how do I become a cop?! And then go around and test their cop commands as they do not know there are other jobs. What I hate even more is they blame the server for a limit of jobs.
What limit of jobs? I have role-played over 30 different characters, I role-played a bum and made 60k in a single weekend. I role-play homeless people, street vendors , a hooker , a dance , a jogger , heck its not about money its about having fun why slave yourself in front of a job! There has to be a way to teach them that cop is not the only thing you can do.
There should be a apply for cadet thread , in which they just need to read a paragraph of the most simple rules of being a cop. Included with the rules it would not take them more than 3 minutes to read and they are on their way. Too many cops has brought a giant loophole into ARPD and its damaging a ridiculous amount of people.
But if there is just one thing that we can agree on this thread let it be that you don’t flame these simple folk as we all were like them , does anyone remember my first weekend on this server? I was wowed by cop commands and dancing commands and while my name turned orange and I had no clue why its all a phase flaming them means your flaming your past and its scary to think about as the wave lengths of our minds beginning to deteriorate and oh my goodness its hurting my head! But yes , do not flame them as its rude and against rules. Please if you see one help them out as flaming them makes the admins angry , the ARPD sad and the civilians very depressed.
