I can tell you what IS the difference between old Argonath and new Argonath...
And its NOT in new players who have no idea how to roleplay... Cos ALL OF YOU had no idea of Argonath RPG style...

The difference is that in old Argonath regulars did not moan about every carjacker or rammer/dmer etc...
The difference is that they have guns and they can defend themselves and that was a free way without rules like "Call police if you are jacked"...
Besides it if you are shooting a dmer and cops come and suspect you, old Argonath player was NEVER crying "cop abuser! I was attacked!"... Cos old Argonath player knew very good that choosing the killing of rammer can lead to cops attention...
Old Argonath players always were asking in PMs for some RP together... For example the kidnapping... They send PM "Can we kidnap you"? and if answer is yes - the funny kidnapping can exist... If answer is no old Argonath player will not send you a nice words like "I thought you were a good roleplayer!"... As they understand very good, that nor people, neither admins MUST take part in EVERY kidnapping...
Old Argonath cops never moaned about attacking them or about criminal fighter "OMFG he is not surrendering he is a crappy RPer!"...

So the problem of new Argonath - in regulars... I can honestly say - since we even opened MTA VC server with 24 dmers vs 2 roleplayers, I did not know dmers will be such a big trouble for at least 30 roleplayers on server...

And yes i think Argonath went down because the main people do not play... But that just shows that Argonath players making an atmosphere on server shitty themselves...

Sorry for this comment... But yes its annoying to get reports about every crap and watching moaners in chat when all you need - two steps... Play the game, do not demand a lot of rules...

In all honosty.... the main difference in the newer version of argo.... which we didnt have in the old versions....

Now.... everyone is shit scared of losing money.... because its harder to get... back in the days when you could get 100k+ in 1`5 minutes in  the casino.... everyone was happy... no one was crying about having no money.   These days its harder to get... and people never want to rp in case they lose money... unless that RPing is drug dealing.

The mnew casinos... could be good if the money diodnt come from the owners/workers pockets... because theyd need to put around about 5k on the door to even break even at the end of the night... and in all fairness its a bizz... They need to make money... It isnt fair that normal players have to lose out 0on money because the developers want a "fair economy" - The fair economy where Admins mug people for 5k  (had it done to me before)  New players are on around 2k for most of their time till someone like cas comes on and throws cash about. and the rich players lose out... because they have to pay out to help the desperate...


At one point in the old script... Rix had around 4 million dollars... and he didnt have to part with a penny of it to newer players... It was a LOT easier to make the cash.

If everyone was like me, or Abe, or Daniel... And werent scared to lose money all the time.   The environment would be a LOT better....  If new players saw us not being scared of losing it... they would be the same - and so on and so forth.

Aragorn , i didnt complain about the new players , i complained about why the Atmosphere got down , and now i get it , its everyone MAKING it go down , including me , all admins , regulars , new players. Why dont we start a new fresh start at the new scripts? And We try to get the atmosphere back to where it was , at all costs!  :bow:

And a crying shame too, such good roleplay could now be formed with gangs but no.. for some reason gangs are hated by all, even though they form a high percentage of roleplay on this server. As I see it - if you kill gangs you kill Argonath.

Yea, money is an issue. When I had no money I didn't want to ever buy any guns, at all. Now that I have money, I am tons happier to pay a couple thousand for guns, and like bribes, and whatever. Roleplay is a lot easier with more money flowing around. There are not enough sources of money! Its getting to the point where is almost seems the sources of deflation (anywhere where you spend money but another player doesn't get it) are almost more common than sources of inflation (anywhere where you get money, but not from another player - paydays.)

There aren't enough reliable sources of non Player-To-Player income. You need some serverside payouts other than random paydays, and then people will be a lot happier, as I see it.

You have no brakes or authority to keep gang wars in a decent roleplay style...
Ask yourselves why...
And the government will not allow stuff that cannot be handled by its roleplayers... we will not make the crowded admins team just cos you wanna kill those whom easy to kill (did not expect - wow arent we tell we are in teh war!), and not those whom harder to kill (deathmatcher)...

Player is speeding, cop suspects - OMFG abuser! What is that? do not speed when cops are near if do not plan to play with them...

As about money - people have millions... In old version were not all millionaires as well... What is the point of RPG if you do not need to do anything to make money yourselves... Lets give to all 100 millions at once and see how nice roleplay will be...

MTA VC do not moan about it... Though there is more less chance to earn big money fast... And still the atmosphere is nice and friendly... SA:MP community is always trying to find a reason in someone/something but not in his own shitty attitude... By moaning on the general chat you do not bring any positive... By reporting about every fart you do not bring positive... By scamming, cheating, abusing scripts you do not bring positive...

Money money money... That is the difference between cool MTA VC community and greedy SAMP community...

Sorry for such tone... But I had 3 years experience in Roleplay and see that even virtual money making people shitty...
