It is my opinion that the "state of the roleplay" is perfectly fine, and always has been. Nothing needs to change IMO, which is why I explained through your points to try and find those which could assist the current roleplays.

Seriously it looks like you don't like change for the better and if the state of roleplay doesn't change I am not waiting around for it. I'll be long gone.

If the Argonath style of Roleplay does not suit, then maybe a modded GF Script server might? Enjoy your 20 minutes in jail for bunny-hopping (which you must remain online for), 2 hours for DMing (as in, a single random kill), and a massive 5 hours for continued DM that I have seen some players suffer.

The state of the roleplay on Argonath is unique, and better than every single other eoleplay server without a doubt. I have stated multiple times that I am against the "Valhalla'ing" of Argonath. Whats the point of just spawning another set of anal roleplayers who complain when you use smileys? Argonath is unique, and should stay that way.

Me and Kaltsu were on other RP servers, when just started working with SAMP... And what?

- You cannot be a cop, while you are not trusted by admins to... pick up this skins... Kaltsu and me that time were 100% cops gamers, all our role we liked to play - cop... So what? we should sit and wait when we will get a cop role? That time server owner decided to give us cop rights cos server was not popular... So we played, tried commands, guys were happy, asked to come again... I think that time they already understood - not every "noober" on their server is a bad roleplayer and cops as well...
- Another server - Max's server, the guy, who gave to Argonath camerahack for SAMP... 3-4 people - chat is empty... No blips, nothing... Only people coming-leaving... When Max came, he teleported to me... We talked a lil, as he knew me before already, so he started explaining to me what and how... The server had only local chat and phone... You must buy a phone to talk in public chat... Now explain me, people, and how the hack could I understand it, when I saw no chat, no blips... The same - to other new guys...

Want to remove radar? Perfect...
With the radar has connection chat script... It means if you make local chat by default, you will see only local chat blips... We were already experimenting it... And what? NOBODY liked... NOBODY... All who were in those public tests (around 70 people on server) - all did not like local chat by default...

The first RP servers who started such practice as local chat by default - were those servers, who started setting bots (unreal players) to gain stats... And local chat was and on some servers is still used for hiding the real amount of real players... Why? Connection with other players is minimum...

We do not want connection with other players to minimum... We tried city wide chat and see that even with it people have problems... I was spectating a guy, who spawned in Las venturas... He was asking questions with normal city wide chat... Nobody answered... He was already like angry, then I answered in local chat to him, so we talked a lil... I explained how chat works, what are the functions of server... Without it - player would already leave server foreva...

The rule of multiplayer community is one... This rule was made by Galadriel, though she does not know about it :
The server must be friendly to the new people
If people come and already have problems with connection to other players, without answering their questions, without understanding why in stats 69/100 and on server he sees only himself - server will lose, roleplay will lose as well...

PART II

When I said that by hunting "perfect RP", players will start make new rules, more and more, I meant the next:

- you already start telling - do not use Pay-N-Spray its none RP...
- before it Hayden was trying to implement the rule "RP chat" "Non RP chat"... When I use (()) its RP chat (or none RP, du not remember)... From others I hear "Do not put RP chat in city wide chat"... Etc...
- others said - lets block Sprite machines by objects like on other server...
- others say - cops cannot use other weapons then deagle and nightstick!..
- others say - cops cannot pull over, I did nothing!

Did you know why cops wanted you to pull over? Do you know the difference between Deagle and other weapons like m5, tech and sawn off? What else in GTA SA we should block for you besides Sprite machines? What makes you roleplay? the chat system or you? Should we close all garages around on the map?
And then whats the point of such GTA server, when most of original features will be blocked?
You think you will start roleplay better?
No way...

They have no city wide or local chat... Still the Roleplay amount is higher then on SA server... And if guy takes an Ice Cream car - at least 3-5 guys will buy imaginary ice cream... and will pay money for "nothing"... But have fun and roleplay...
Why for SA server you need laws and more rules for Roleplay? Why in SA server you all complain on some third part?

And the main question:

Why you want to make a Prison from Argonath? And blame Argonath scripts and features in ruining your Roleplay?

Lie... We NEVER had such rule... As you see you prove my words - soon you will make rules when and how should people run and walk on server...

that bunnyhopping isn't allowed, it only takes a few words to tell players to stop. Maybe a kick or two, but nobodys really gonna complain about it.

Why should we disallow bunnyhopping? What exactly it ruins? Roleplay? Excuse me? Maybe we should disallow skins as well as they are not real and are just some 3d models?

Few words to tell people to follow some rules? Have you tried to count how many deathmatchers were kicked/banned and how many cheaters were banned? Yeah - that is Argonath fault - all Argonath needed to tell a few words to players to stop cheating...

Yeah? And how removing blips from radars will stop people of using Pay-n-Spray? Probably you want cops do not do their work as well, or drive around and ask "Are you criminal?"

Well its you that doesn't want to develop argonaths roleplay state, shame on you. Why do you call your self Argonath RPG and not Argonath Developing Roleplayers. Seriously it looks like you don't like change for the better and if the state of roleplay doesn't change I am not waiting around for it. I'll be long gone.

Thanks for said words... Yeah we suck in Roleplay vision, we do not want to kick ban people for jumping, using cars they want, using guns they want, etc... We are so bad... And why the hell you think that YOU are right? And prisoned Roleplay is better?
Serious roleplay? Its a game... You are not suppose on Argonath move, how admins say to the directions tyou are scripted...
But nobody will take your rules to implement on server just cos you will be gone if not...

And yeah - we call ourselves ArgonathRPG cos we are a Role Playing server... And we do not edit half of map and do not cut half of features of GTA just cos you cannot use it properly... Like cuffed RP - go on other servers... This is all I can suggest to you...

Overall, of the points merc mentioned, I only agree with 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 12. The rest I would have to discuss about.

To be honest, I actually agree with this. I prefer MTA over SAMP, not because I am an admin in MTA, and not one in SAMP, but the fact that people in MTA are more nice, and do not complain about things such as "you used radar to find me, how un-RP!", and I have never seen people on forums in MTA, suggesting that things like Minimap blips, HUDs and all those sorts of things should not be used. Once in SAMP, when I was a cop, and lost visual with a suspect, he "Hid" in a carpark, and when I found him, he complains "Un-RP radar using cop". Ok, now let me not use my radar then. I'll just cruise around the block until I see him. Still I would hear "Un-RP radar using cop". So does that mean, he is allowed in that carpark and stay there forever, and I am not allowed to go in there ever?

People are just complaining more and more about things that seem slightly unrealistic in the game. In MTA, people always use "Lol", "omg", "ffs" and those languages in their RP. Doesn't seem like people would use them in real life. But so what? We are just having fun in the server, why are we complaining about such petty things, and that they are not realistic? Are we ruining what someone is trying to roleplay, like the DM? Are we annoying and irritating the player, just like continously ramming a player with those language? No, we are just using language that suits the way we want to speak on the server. Why should we restrict the speaking in roleplaying down to such simple languages? It's like putting a x=0.001 and x=-0.001 asymptote on a cartician plate, and expecting that the person should be able to draw it to scale, of 1:1cm.

Ok, another thing is, do you ever see people in real life, magically seeing words on the top left of their sight, saying things like "Player 2 hotwires the car", and in the meantime, the player is frozen in position, while this happens? This is just an excuse for the cops to be able to fully stop a suspect from grabbing a car and running away. We introduced a 5 car rule, and there is no need to add more to the restrictions of how the suspect runs away.

I was checking Undercover the taxi drivers work (admins know )...
So I was at San Fierro Airport and typing /taxi... On server were 6 taxi drivers... Guess who arrived to pick me up... Nobody... I was at airport more then 20 minutes, periodically reminding about taxi client by /taxi command...
So what made less RP? new rule - taxi driver cannot leave taxi car? or new rule - taxi driver should be teleported to client?
I am sure that those who are moaning about Argonath rules will think over a new one for taxi drivers Roleplay increasing...
BTW when I asked pickup me on cop radio - also none came... Only Jaaska arrived with the helicopter (big thanks )... So maybe also start demand a script that teleports the nearest cop to pick you up?

I was undercover and did not find any difference... Only one...
Last time increased amount of moaners... And that are the MAIN people who ruin Argonath...
I was spectating some of this moaners and actually did not like their actions... besides shitty roleplay and provokes, they demand taking actions when lose and start disturb everyone - from local player to 1337 admin...

this is what changed on Argonath... Less moaners - more RP would be... I know that...
We stopped moaners on MTA VC when just opened... Were coming like diversion our "friends" and shitting chat "OMG this server sucks! Non RP!"... So we had to stop moaners... And what? Did we lose in RP or MTA VC community? nope...

Why not use /lol and you will see laughing animation ? Its there.....
Roleplay does not improve by commands or scripts. It depends on your fantasy and ability to create funny or interesting situations by improvisation.

Tons of rules will just stop the play.

A nice example from MTA:VC, another server of old times. A command to rob the bank was created, and the player had to wait inside the bank for 3 minutes. The admins decided to create a rule that people were not allowed in the bank during this time, to 'improve roleplay' (actually because they would be shot dead within that time because they sucked at fighting  ). So a robber walks in to the bank, where 3 cops are inside, starts a robbery and then starts shouting cops are not allowed in the bank....
Real RP. You want to rob a bank, choose one filled with cops and tell the cops 'this is a robbery and hostage situation, get outside and do your job'.....

From this we learned that combining rules and scripts will lead to
1) New people not understanding what the hell they are supposed to do
2) Dead RP with people acting like robots

Now I know that many people are just not able to use their imagination and fantasy, and need to be guided by their Great Leader of Scripts in every step of the way.
But the real RP is when you make people who are coming near you by accident part of the situation. When you see that cop coming near your drug deal and make him laugh by doing something unexpected. It is reacting and interacting with other players.
RP does not need any commands, it started on DM servers by people who were bored shooting the hell out of each other.
It does not need strict rules for chat, if you can not understand the difference between what is in or out of character, you need to clean up your act.

So when are YOU going to learn and do the real RP ?

Using your imagination and fantasy isn't really realistic, you need to build it around your character. I am not asking for scripts in every sight, I am asking for things to be more realistic.

And yes - this is moaning... From "TIPS" you fall down to blaming server and even blackmailing "I will then leave"...

I was trying to give advice to people to not act like dicks when roleplaying, if you don't like the ideas then fine. I said I've had enough I will leave if it does not improve, not that I havn't tried to improve it and just fucked off somewhere else, but that I have tried, many dislike, therefore I see no point staying if I can't help nothing. It just happens when your sick of something.

That is only 1 side of it, the actions, people have to talk too. I have looked at the actions and am trying to prove to people that running around with Tec's is not roleplay etc...

... And thanks god we have more players who understand it...
