Petition against increasing of the DM'ing / rulebreaking.

Hello guys,

It's clear here, Argonath RPG has been changed. From the beginning we were a completely RPG / RL server with much players following the rules.
These days we aren't anymore; DM'ing, cops-abuse, rulebreaking , non-rpg/rl.
It's a reason to be sad, and it's very clear we lost people, because all of this things.

The quality is decreasing, we all see it happens. Argonath isn't that Argonath how it must be.

Every 1 minute, the admins need to warn a rulebreaker of dm'er again, they must be tired of it.

About the hackers, we see them more then before, and it just ruined the game.

And we need to change this, how much people does really love the server, and are able to protect them to this kind of abusers.
Because, if you read this and you're a abuser, we don't like you and go to another server.

The rules have to be stronger to hold this people out.

I hope this get some people thinking, when this is not changing, this could be the end of Argonath, cause much veteran players don't like the game anymore.

Let this be an urgent warning!

We cannot use petition to check an activity somewhere etc. Your petition can be tracked as a spam there. We can not change something - Petition won't help to dissalow hackers, rulebreakers enter us server. Anyway - I'm in, despite that I don't see reason how it can help to us.

I don't know about you guys but I find Argonath an fantastic place to RP, sure you get a shit load of ass-holes trying to ruin it all for you, but theres just the righ amount to completely balance that out, I'm still looking forward to working as a cop day by day, and the awesome situations I lead SWAT into, better then these new genereation games if you ask me, all about the game-play in my opinion, and the community and administrators and our dedicated programmers make it all worth while.

look mates, there is a big admin community out there and we are trying to enforce rules as much as possible. What we hate in our job is people who do : 

1- Repeated offences : If we need to tell you 5 times in 5 days to not dm, carjack, carkill and so on, you should learn

2- Denial of the facts ( We watch someone for 10 minutes, he dm, dm, dm, get kicked, come back whining). Assume ur responsabilities ! For sure we can make mistakes but sometimes it's so damn obvious that ur doing wrong and u keep whining. Stop it for once please. Please. PLEASE!!!!

3- I will report!-type of person. If you refuse to RP with them because you are waiting for an admin to make you a house, or that you are involved in another roleplay, you shouldn't get reported for : Bad roleplay. Some people reports some very lame stuffs. Avoid that at all costs !

4- Report wars : He did that to me, he started this, he, him, his fault, no, his and all the way like this. If you do a mistake, assume it, all you will get is probably a verbal warn. And please but please, don't try to make someone u dislike get banned, this is not how it works. If you have a problem with a person, it is because you don't know that person enough.

5- Yell of admin on main chat/ ordering admin. Let me explain : BAN ID 28 HE HAS HACKS !!!! STOP doing THAT Please ! If there is a problem, /report id reason. Stop yelling at us in main chat, first of all the hacker will just turn off his hacks, wait a moment and go back at it. Second, don't tell us how to do our job, we know which punishement to apply, we have strict rules that we must follow and we don't ban for fun nor do we kick/warn/jail for fun. In other words, report and we will watch, take all necessary measures to make sure of what is the situation and apply necessary punishements if necessary.

6- Yelling : Admins dont read reports. We read most of them. If a report isn't read, it's because we are already busy on another or simply because the chat is so flooded due to activity that we couldn't see it. Wait a bit, if nothing happens and that the problem CONTINUE, report again. Don't flood us with report, you will be the one warned.

7- People who flame in reports : That noob stole my bike. Don't do that. This is most likely to return the situation against you.

8- Saying that admins are blind : If you report a situation, it is most likely because it have happened, which is the past. The present is the moment it takes to us to react. The future is the time we need to evaluate the situation and apply necessary measures. What I mean : If someome is reported for carjacking but we didn't saw him, it will be difficult for us to tell who is right from who is wrong, since many reports are false.

9- Being impatient to admins : It can take a while to resolve a situation, depending of the offence. We sometimes need to verify the statements from both sides and sometimes consult other admins in order to find the best solution for everyone. Some people are in a hurry and would wish actions to be taken straight away. Relax, we need time, we are HUMANS, not robots, not bots, we are not programmed, we don't have eyes everywhere and we are not big brothers. So please, let us some time. We also have to answer frequent PM's of different nature like questions from new players, questions that require a delicate or long answer and such.

10- Finding reasons : What alot of admins despise is the fact that some people find themselves reasons or excuses to try to avoid a punishement. Ex : Why do you warn me ? He said I was fat so I shot at him because he flamed me !!! It's all because of him !!!  Look, we caught you breaking a rule, take it as a lesson, learn to use /report id reason instead of breaking the rules in order to answer a rulebreak. If you get caught, you get caught and you have to assume that there will be a punishement. 


Finaly, remember, admins are your friends, we work for the community. If you need to talk, if you have a concern or a problem, if you have stuffs on your mind and need to talk, we are here to listen to you. We DO care about the players, every of them. So weither you are a new player or a veteran from the beginning, we are there for you. What we expect from community is that you will also understand that new players need to be taught and we enjoy when an experienced player take care of the new guy coming out from nowhere who just installed SA:MP, such support is always appreciated by admins and don't think we don't notice it, we do and personnaly it always makes me smile to see such. But we also understand that sometimes some new players just don't get it and keep breaking rules, but in that case, it is the job of the admin to enforce rules. Also, we prefer to give warnings to players since we believe that everyone can improve and that sometimes someone need to be guided.

So in general, the idea is that we do all we can to help RP, but we can't predict who will break the rules and DM. Now you will ask : Why do you put stuffs admins dislike ? Because I consider your initial post as a message to admins saying : You guys don't do your job, there is alot of dmer and all you do is warn and you don't apply severe punishments. Maybe you don't mean that, but I want to make you feel what an admin feel/see during a day of duty. Many things you say, I explain it in the list, so you will see that things maybe don't work like you think.  It is not the player responsability to have to enforce the rules, it is admin one, that is true, but we enjoy when people give a little effort by : Being patient, being kind, accepting that there is some new players coming on everyday, not breaking the rules yourself. People who constatly break the rules end up banned anyways. Then they get unban and become very good people. See ? We don't need to throw abusers out, everyone can learn.

Also know I don't make this post against you, but I just want to show you another side of the reality on Argonath. Why I put the what admins dislike ? Because I wanted to answer some stuffs you said but support your idea at the same time. I don't mean I approve or not your topic, but the idea is that people need to be aware of the rules on server and that admins do as much as possible to help.

- /report him until the noob is kicked
- flame him, kill him, stalk him, tell him you hate noobs
- try to explain him the rules and take him along to show RP

what do you do when a cop pulls you over ?
- run as hell and report abuse to admins
- tell him to f**k off and then report abuse as he suspects you
- stop and see it as an opportunity for RP by asking him politely what his reason is.

what do you do when your report about DM is not solved in 1 second ?
- repeat the report until you get kicked for flooding
- switch on your 1337 hack and kill the dmer
- run until the admins had time to handle it

what do you say if someone asks you to kill all Stracci ?
- cool I hate those guys, let me get my guns
- wait until there are less admins online... they might see us
- hey buddy gang wars are not allowed

Well... everyone was noob once u cant expect people to be leet rp'ers as soon as they join server. From time to time we get new rp'ers in server, patience is the key. And thats why we have admins, to deal with rulebreakers and explain them rules.

The admins have the responsibility of the Rulebreakers and Hackers....But Players haev to help admins by learning to new players how to RP

Any script that auto bans or kicks is a failure. Reason is that the tools used to cheat can also be used to frame other for things they did not do.
We have evaluated most such scripts and decided to keep it with people...they are less easily fooled.
