there no poitn in installing drivers when you reformat.. when you reinstall a OS, or install one for the first time everything goes into Plug and play mode, meaning they run without drivers (they do, its just that the drivers are hard coded)

the only problem you chould be having is the cable is loose, or somthing is physiclly damaged (probobly the Win XP disc)

I am 100% sure that the Win XP Disc doesnt fail anything. 100%.
And the cables doesnt fail ANYTHING, im sure!

This is Defenitly the Raid Driver, i experienced several of these problems, since i work as computer engineer in belgium.
Finding the disk driver, put it on a floppy, and push F6 at the beginning of the installation is the only thing i can advise.
I think i found the corresponding driver for your chipset.

Ok thanks very much!! :D :D
I downloaded the driver, but the problem now is that I dont have any floppy drive :(
Well I have never needed one before now :(
So is there a way to put the driver on a USB flash-drive, or an empty CD, and then make the F6 read from the USB, or the CD ?

Yes! And beleive me, the thing Clyde is saying is correct, a RAID Driver is needed, and I have read about it, its just a damn Floppy Drive I need to get to work on the computer.

If you lived in belgium, you could borrow one of my floppy drive collection  :D
Btw what you also can do is streamline it to your windows XP installation.
What you need to do is make a backup of you XP disk, with help IMGBurn or any relevant program.
Then you install nlite, and add a driver to it, insert an empty  CD and  :alert"ta-daa :alert", it has your driver on it..
