Baaaad

when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth

I think alot of people now just want to be admins for teh power, or to feel important. But I joined like in March and it does seem things have changed. But What I really noticed was that it wasnt that Argonath changed but the players looks on it. Like awhen I frst started on Argonath, I looked around and thougth to myself "WOW!!! A whole big virtual city with real people around the world!!! So much detail, I want to go to forest and desert, its so cool!!!" I also wanted to join a group and become high in power. I have a totally whole different look on Argo now, and hopefully it wont change, if so for the better.

Not saying everything has changed to bad side but in generally i think that ye, it has become worse and all these new admins with their "im above everyone" attitude doesnt make life easier for a common player either
Oh that I can really agree to

Bad and good at the same time. Scripts changed, but players haven't. There is a lot of newbies rushing in, which is also good and bad. We will get a lot of new roleplayers, but at the same time we will just get people who just DM and can't understand its not a DM server. The question is: How do we filter roleplayers from DMers and hackers?. If we can solve that then it will be good. At the same time we also have to just ignore the DMers and hackers and simply hang around with the roleplayers. Just pretend they aren't there. If you get car killed by someone of course you're gonna get pissed, but what does that solve? The best thing to do it /report id reason and pretend it didn't happen.

Word.

It's a lot of abusing from admins these days. I prefer admins who talks instead of giving players warning for small shitty things just to notify everyone that they're "the king of the hill" basicly. And that is a big issue for new admins. They wanna do as much as possible just to get "famous".

When I started..Argonath was a baby..and it was hell nice: A lot of good RPers...good gangs..less clans.
I mean thats what Roleplay is about, beeing in a group of players which do the same like: Beeing a gang figtign other gangs. Or doing Business or whatever.
Now the mainpoint of most players starts like this: First you open a random-noob-gang by yourself, then you quit it because it sucks, then you join another gang which grows up a bit, but then decide to join a clan to get attetion so you decide to take WS or AV..when you have a good reputation you apply to be admin and get with the WS , AV tag 80%ly accepted. When yuu are an admin , you apply for Rstar..wait to be accepted and then quit AV and WS, thats the never ending circle of Argonath.

I think it turned bad. But lets not whine about the situation of the server..lets play on and shit.

You say Soulja boy, i say 2pac
You say 3 6 mafia, i say NWA
You say Flo rida, i say Dr Dre You say Rick Ross, i say Eazy E You say 50 cent, i say Ice cube

Hmm.

I've been here since the v1 scripts.

And honestly, I like it a HELL of a lot better then now.

Less stupidity [Well, You know what i mean  ;)] and more roleplaying.

If i had a choice.
I would change it back.

Man i loved these MTA:VC days when Rstar was still =MS=.
I didnt even knew Ron was the co-owner of the server and i was like "Man i swear i can evade cops better then you!"
And then Kaltsu on TS with that police radio, it was soo good for its time, so much people loved it.
Oyee and like working your ass off for some money to buy alittle business or a house, it wasnt about power, it was for fun.

Early SA:MP days were good also.
Mafia's were actualy making deals or fighting eachother instead of lame "meetings" that don't solve shit or max recruiting.
And Kaltsu with his police radio again and police academy, damn those were some good days.
Bayside, Dragon Fire, _Dragons, [CM]/_Corleone, [ML], [ALS] that was the real deal those days.

I remember s as good memories, when _Dragons in SA:MP controlled all, they just was the best mafia/gang ever that time, remember they owned that bar or dicso in SF.

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

Wow i am just reading back my old topic and some other old topic's from mafia's/gangs.
It sounds so fun that time.
Like some new gang attacks [CM] and then _Dragons, [TME], [ALS], [GSF] teamed up and helped [CM].
I am also prowd that i brought more RP in mafia's with that Firstname_[Family backname] thing, i see people are still using it on Argonath.

Well people, I've seen a lot of these kind of topics while I have been in Argonath and I can say that those of you who say that it used to be better - they lie. It only seemed better, because back then there was that new kind of feeling, you all had, like somebody already said, big world to discover and a lot of goals to achieve. Now you have done most of them so there isn't nothing more to do for you. So if you are not occupied of achieving your goals now you begin to notice other things in Argonath, for example admins work.
The truth is players come and go, but as a group or a society Argonath stays the same, in proportional distribution there are still the same amount of roleplayers and deathmatchers. The attitude of the new admins are still the same what they used to be a year or even 2 years ago. For example someone here said that the new admins have that kind of "above everybody" attitude, well when Watti got his first admin rights back in 2006 he had the same problem.

Only thing that has changed really is the scripts, thx to what you are able to do a lot more then you used to.

And we do not try to be real life, as why would you ever play real life if you have one ? We play the GTA universe, and our players should try to live in the GTA world, not the real one.
