Yes Offer Fest, Opfer Fest in German which means Victim Festival. Sheeps, cows, camels etc. are killed in that day for god. That thing on the start is kind of a song also a pray I think. I am Turkish and Muslim but I dont really pay attention that much to religion. And yes it means 9 days of holiday for us :P

My muslim brothers, we should be happy to be alive for another Eid-Al-adha, be wise and share something for everyone, its not all about the off-school time its about reflecting on Allah and all who made this day possible for us that we get to share our food to the less fortunate then us, inshallah(hopefully) one day all muslims will live in peace.
