Hello all, I just wanted to do something good for the beginners here on Argo. This guide isn't official, so when I did a mistake please post it, and I will include it.

1.0 Argonath RPG Rules

Game Rules:
* NO CHEATS, NO MODS, NO HACKS
* NO HELIKILLING, NO CARKILLING, NO RAMMING, NO CARJACKING
* NO GLITCHES, that give you advantage over other players
* NO PAUSING WHEN COMBAT, WANTED
* NO REVENGE KILLING
* NO FLOOD THE CHAT WINDOW
* NO SPAM (advertisment of other servers and sites, that do not belong to Argonath RPG server is NOT allowed)
* NO FLAME/INSULT players. If you came to play on our server - respect it and our players
* NO ATTACKING WITHOUT A PROPER REASON
* NO ESCAPING WHEN SURRENDERED (RPG)
* FOR ONE CHASE CRIMINAL CAN CHANGE ONLY 5 CARS. Fight or surrender (RPG)
* POLICE VEHICLES ARE ONLY FOR POLICE DEPARTMENTS (RPG)
* NO MONEY CHEATING
* IMPOSTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED (no any copying other players' nicks or regular clans' tags)
* SLANG IS ALLOWED ONLY AS A PART OF ROLEPLAY (swearing as personal attack on players will be punished)
* NICKS WITH THE UNREADABLE LETTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED (Please refrain from using <>?/|\{}[]()-=+/*)
   
Forum Rules:
* DO NOT DOUBLE POST. Has someone already posted this? Search the forums
* Do NOT BE INFLAMMATORY. Political discussions can get heated - do not resort to puerile tactics to prove a point
* ACT MATURELY, BE POLITE. Remember that your opinion is only your opinion, and other people have a right to disagree with it, just as you have a right to have it.
* There are a number of stickys at the top with common thread links - read them and familiarise yourself with their content
* DO NOT BULLY OTHER MEMBERS. Flaming or constant attacking will not be tolerated.
* NO SPAM. Advertisments of other servers or internet sites are not allowed.
* NO FLOOD. It is not allowed to creat the same posts in several forums or topics. Please, choose the best place for your post and put it once.
* THE SIGNATURES. All signature images should have heigth size: 100 pxl or less. The images, that do not match this rule will be removed by    administration. Repeatedly using the large size images in signatures will be punished by moderating...

1.1 OOC/IC

What is OOC?
OOC means Out Of Character. OOC is used when are you not in a role-play, when you are talking not with your character to others, you are talking from yourself with the others.
The public chat in Argonath is total OOC, so you can talk to the others OOC there or you can /pm <ID> <message> someone to write something OOC to him.

What is IC?
IC means "In Character". IC is used when you are doing something with your character, and you are talking to others with the character.
For this talk you use /l (local chat), /w (whisper), /call <phonenumber>, /sms <phonenumber> <textmessage>, and at least you can use /s (shout) for IC conversation.

1.2 Powergaming/Metagaming

What is powergaming?
A powergamer is someone, who's forcing others to role-play, who not want to be in that role-play.
Example:
(1) PlayerX pushes PlayerY against the wall. That's wrong, it must be like this:
(1) PlayerX attempts to push PlayerY against the wall.
So PlayerY can avoide the Roleplay when he won't to be a part of the roleplay, so PlayerY does:
(2) PlayerY moves a bit, so PlayerX didn't succeed.

What is metagaming?
Metagaming is using OOC knowledge in IC Situation.
Example:
You met a guy on the streets and you see his name is PlayerX, so you write /l Hi PlayerX.
But that's wrong, you don't know IC his name, you need to ask for it.

2.0 First Steps

Choose a good nickname or a real roleplay name like with Surname and Familyname. Example: Paul_Miller
Then register your account with /register <your password>, remember you can only have one account,
but you can change always the name with /changename, so don't register 2 accounts or you can get banned for this.
Register a forum account here. So that were the first steps.

2.1 Passport/Drivers License

When you did the first steps, study the website, and learn more about the amazing server.
After 2 weeks playing, you can do a passport test, you need a passport for getting the drivers license,
buying a house and so on, it's really important like in real life. After you think you know enough about the server, and their owners and members
go to the city hall and do the passport test, when city hall isn't open, ask an level 4 admin for a test. (For the admins list do /admins)
Aftet you got the passport, you can apply under "SA:MP City Hall" for a driving license, it has 2 driving schools, you choose which one you will, at the end you will need to learn the theory, and do the exam, but for this driving license you need a bit money, but that's no problem, because you got 10,000$ Welcome Money, and you can work for the money, whatever I'll describe the jobs in the next steps.

2.2 Jobs (Illegal & Legal)

It has 5 scripted jobs for now, and they are:
- Taxi Driver
- Medic
- Cadet/Freecop
- Hooker
- Drugsdealer

Taxi Driver:
If you love to drive people around the city, choose this job, just go to Unity Station, or to an airport of the 3 cities (LS,SF,LV)
There you have to type /driver.

Medic:
You just need to go infront of a Hospital and type /medic. Use /heal <ID> to heal a client.

Cadet/Freecop:
That's a critical job, because the most newcomers don't know how to RP, and abuse their rights, don't do that,
but when you want to be a real respected Cop/Officer, apply on http://arpd.argonathrpg.com/
For what stands ARPD? ARPD stands for Argonath Police Departement, it's the offical PD of Argonath, and it's very respected,
whatever back to the job freecop, just go inside the LSPD building, go into a locker room, and type /duty. For more infos, type
In-Game /jobhelp.

Hooker:
You have to be inside a strip club and just type /hooker. You can heal clients, with the command /sex, warn them better first to /use condom, safety sex, by the way, you can buy a condom in a 24/7.

Illegal:
You can also be a drug dealer, it's a scripted job, you just need to go to a weed farm, or to the Ship in SF, there you can grow weed and get heroin with the commands: /growweed (for the weed) and /finddrugs (for the heroin on the ship)

Also you can do other illegal things like, kidnapping, robbing people (in RP style) but all these criminal stuff will have consequences from the ARPD.
But you know: No Risk No Fun!

Roleplay Jobs:
They aren't scripted, but you can roleplay them, money is important, but not the most important, the RP is the most important and you can RP some jobs.

2.3 Commands & Anims

For the RP, you need the commands and anims, you better learn them by heart, or you just write them of a paper down.
They're important for the RP, if you would like to see the list, type In-Game /commands.

3.0 Cars & Houses

So, you've got a passport, a driving license, and you have the basic info for a good RP experience?
You have worked/rped hard and you have now enough money for a house and car? Okay, for a house you need min. 80,000$,
you can also rent a room at some motels, you just need to pay rent.

Cars:
When you enter a car, you will see in the Chat Window the text: (ID of the Car) <name of the car> is owned by: PlayerX
So that means the car is owned by someone, you can't buy it, but it has in whole SA (San Andreas) unowned cars.

4.0 Groups/Gangs/Clans/Mafias

You search new friends to Rp? No problems under "SA:MP Groups/Gangs/Clans" you can apply for a Group, and you will have always friends around you, it has many Groups and Clans for you, so apply! By the way, when you are applying, never lie about something, just write the truth.

Seems nice to me on the first watch.
Maybe add some illegal possibilities to earn money aswell.
Like growing weed, kidnapping.
Also its consequences by ARPD / FBI etc.

Kidnapping is not a way for earn money. Its a hidden way for death matchers to do that they like to do instead of rp. No kidnapper irl call the cops and asks for money.

By the way, I could just as easily say this:
"Cops shooting Suspects isn't a way to earn money, its a way for deathmatchers to do what they like, instead of RP."

looks great,

and kidnapping is good RP,
and its forbidden to respond when kidnapper calls cops,
thats why relatives should contact cops with the demands,
so nothing wrong with it,

but nobody does kidnappings anymore this days
