Any Chance to post your Computer Specifications here? Does it meet at least the minimum requirements?

The black box is totally normal, but it shouldnt disappear, after the black box comes it should start.

I couldn't play the game because I had Windows XP Service Pack 2 instead of 3, so that could be a possibility. And if that doesn't work then I suggest you re-install the game.

Hmm.. Vista is really what you should have for it, but I guess XP SP3 works too..

No SP3 works fine. Haven't you read the manual  :rules: lol  ;)

And besides: Vista is not fully developed yet, still has some major bugs. Then XP is better because its older and kinda safer in a way

Reinstall the PC, then upgrade GTA IV again without starting GTA IV..

What is says then. And make sure you have 1.2, because that version solves that problem.

I know it works on XP SP3, it will probably work better on Vista.

I installed this, I had 2 small problems, and it worked, on a 64bit Version of Vista too..  :)
