Why the Wii is considered "sucky" to some

One of the things I seriously hate is that people underestimate the Nintendo Wii. The thing is some people either

ºA TV that is crappy or bad setup or in cases not configured the picture setttings

ºor you are judging it for it's very crappy third-party games

One thing third-party developers do not get is that
1. The Wii can display some HD near quality graphics like in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4 (Third-Party), Metroid Prime (Native resolution is 1280x720 but downscaled), Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and few others (Like Mario Galaxy). One thing that really pisses me off is that the Wii is considered a "kiddie konsole" but take a look at Twilight Princess. Gorgeous graphics, beautiful soundtrack, and flawless story. You can sometimes compare the graphics to that of Call of Duty on PS3. Resident Evil, though made by Capcom, kicks the custom 10MBPS Ati graphics card's ass to where it will look close to GTA IV (a bit blurrier), or the original Halo (a.k.a. Nintendo's Halo) Metroid Prime: 3. Looks like Halo 3, and the Wii will eat it up! A final example is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Now this game kicks ass and looks like friggin' Saints' Row 1 and 2 and runs at 60 fps, with Havok physics engine, 80 things on screen, all with their own Artificial Intelligence, and other tiny details crammed into a 8.5 Gb optical disc. This and more can the Wii do. But, unfortunately, it can also suck (thanks to lazy designers). Some games like Driver Parallel Lines, Guitar Hero, Rock Band (1 only), and many others failed to use the Wii's wonderful capabilities. Let's start with Guitar Hero III. The Wii port blows in the visuals department. I mean really! The singer's mouth is HUGE!!! The drummer looks like a robot, the drummer's crash cymbals, ride, and hi-hat move before the drummer hits them. And, unlike the 360/PS3 version, the Wii includes no real-time hair ragdoll effects. Their hair moves on it's own :conf: ! Now to Driver. This game looks like a PS1 title. It has a mediocre GTA clone story, Crappy ingame effects and somehow I love crashing my car and getting the cops' attention. Well this game is terrible. This game makers put digital shit on the disc. This is the essence of ******* **** ****** ** ** ** *** * ****. DO NOT pick this game up!!!. Well. Also before I go, I will breifly discribe the audio proccessor. It can play 120 sounds per nano second and output them at 5.1 Dolby Pro-Logic EXII. Ok. Here is my game library;

ºZelda: Twilight Princess
I give it 100%

ºMetroid Prime: 3
I give it 100%

Super Smash Bros. Brawl:
I Give it 100%. 200% with friends

ºRock Band 1:
I give it an 80%
Reason:
The soundtrack is supberb, along with Band Mode, but the lack off Downloable Content, Character Customization, and online multi player kinda sucks.

ºGuitar Hero: III
I give it 80%
Reason:
Good online 2 player and soundtrack, but horseshit visuals make hate it.

Resident Evil: 4 (Wii Edition)
I give it 100%

No More Heroes:
I give it 95%
Reason:
I kinda dislike the cartoon graphics but I love everything else!

Driver: Parallel Lines
I give it nothing
Reason:
Plain old shit.

That concludes my topic. Sorry for the length. Please don't make stupid replies.

Red Steel - Amazing Game, 11/10.
Splinter Cell - Double Agent - Good Graphics, Storyline is a bit niffty but overall it's superb.
Manhunt 2 - Shitty Graphics, Into Murdering People? This IS a game for YOU form killing with Plastic bags to Machine Guns this is the most Violent Game i have ever played and i recommend it to anyone with a Wii. BUY IT  Rockstar Games I Love you.

The fact why it's considered 'sucky' is beceause XBOX360  / Playstation 3 Have both more graphical power than the Wii, Yet they forget Wii is not based to become HD Gaming machine, but pure Motion Sensed Gaming..

Wii is not really counted as a real HD Gaming console,  yet people always look to it as it has to be a PS3 or Xbox... This isn't relevant to any of these, Wii is something on itself..

I Don't conisder it sucky myself, It is special, and quite amazing (Motion Sensing like that i've never seen )

If you are having a party with girls or such, get the Wii, way more fun then just sitting down to some. But if your an old school video game player, then get 360 or PS3...  :cool:

I have both, as shown in the other post "Who the?!?". The Wii motion sensing is far more satisfying than PS3's Six-axis since Wii can read 12 axis plus IR sensor. The remotes have a   built-in speaker, and "communicate" with the Wii via  Blu-Tooth. And for the old school gamer thing, the Wii Shop Channel carries original NES, SNES, TurboGrafx 16, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, NEO GEO, and N64 titles available for download ^ ^. You have to use the Wii-mote like an NES remote (sideways), or use either the classic remote or Gamecube remote to play. I have Donkey Kong: Dixie Kong's double trouble, Pokemon Snap!, and the flawless Zelda: Ocarina of Time. All are bought by Wii Points. They're like gift cards. 100 points = $1
